| The Fallout 4 DLC was pretty bad imo, even with the larger ones it felt lacking and dull. Even the best DLC far harbor did not feel like it majorly impacted anything from the fallout universe and in the end made me feel wanting more. The Nuka world DLC I was actually pretty exited for adding a raider faction seemed awesome but it really didn't add a whole lot and again fell flat. THEN you look at the New Vegas and even Fallout 3 the DLC was WELL worth the money and added tons of content and even with some of the "bad" DLC for those games it still didn't feel like A complete play through without finishing them. Broken steel fixed a major issue with Fo3 and completely changed the game in many ways while adding tons of content for what 5$? Same can be said for the New Vegas DLC lonesome road was amazing to explore and added a nice contrast to the Mojave, for me it is something I look forward to when playing a new play through.
So this brings me to my question, I was recently talking to a buddy who has only played fallout 4 and I was trying to convince him why to go back to the older games and we had a long talk on why good DLC can add so much to a game. What is your guys favorite Fallout DLC and why? What makes a DLC "good" for you, and what do you think Fallout 4 could have done better with its DLC. _________________ |

| My favourite DLC will and always will be The Divide for New Vegas. The atmosphere, the challenge of those sneaky fucking tunnellers and most importantly Ulysses. I thought he was great as a character, voice acting was really well done too.
Fallout 4's DLC was somewhat disappointing. Far Harbour was great, loved it. Automatron? Automawesome. The additional workshop DLC's? Bollocks for me because I have the attention span of a donut and can't really be bothered for all that building. Nukaworld? A bit pants, the area was fabulous but a bit crap for those who'd aim for a more 'good guy' play-through with how it punishes you somewhat with the lack of quests after more or less genocide the greater area of Nukaworld. Also Fallout 4's lack of new area DLC. |

| In honesty 4's Far Harbor and Nuka World are good, but yeah 4's DLC was pretty boring with the settlement stuff. Bethesda should definitely go back to their roots.
My favourite would have to be Broken Steel. It put an awesome ending to Fallout 3 and ended the Enclave once and for all. Really, Fallout 3 would not be complete without Broken Steel, and I loved Fallout 3, both it's atmosphere and it's story.
An honourable mention would have to be Old World Blues. It was unique from what we'd seen in the past with the sci-fi elements and all. |

Completely agree on what you said about Broken Steel, that DLC did something fresh that now companies do intentionally(adding major story development in DLC) but now they plan it and charge 30$ for it.... _________________ |

| I'm a huge fan of Old World Blues. The area was interesting, as well as the characters in it. I think it fit perfectly into the world of Fallout. I honestly think the two FO4 DLC's tried to be too serious in story and it didn't work out that well. _________________ |

| Was it wrong for me to say Honest Heart? I personally love the tribal settings, the landscape and more importantly, Joshua Graham. Joshua Graham is such a masterfully created character that just brim with class and charisma. Still hate Obsidian for making the DLC unbelievably short.
I would have Lonesome Road in my 2nd place, they really created such an unique place with such Fallout-esque vibe. I just love it. Really hope Obsidian would make Fallout again.
Oh, and screw settlement DLC. I didn't buy the season pass for this. |

| Point Lookout was probably my favorite DLC for Fallout 3, because I really liked the East Coast beach setting. For New Vegas I'd have to go against the general consensus and say that my favorite DLC was Old World Blues. I loved the idea of seeing a top secret science facility and all that. Honestly though, Fallout 4's DLC wasn't the worst, but it wasn't the greatest either. I don't even count the workshops as being DLC because they were just a cash grab. Automatron was absolute garbage in my opinion, Far Harbor was fantastic, and Nuka World was a cool setting but I really didn't like the raider faction idea. I think they could have used Nuka World for a way cooler main quest, but that's all completely subjective on my part. _________________ "You know what, Trigger? Why don't you lead and I'll follow." |

| When dead money first came out I hated it now I love it. OWB was a lot of fun. The 2 DLC from any game I had the most fun with was General Knoxx for Borderlands and Shivering Isle for oblivion _________________ |

| My favourite DLC for New Vegas is Honest Hearts - it really brings us to see Joshua Graham, know more about his history. And the goddamn automatic rifle Thompson is sooooo good _________________ - My Achievments:

| I love Nuka World man, I really don't find it crappy The guns were pretty nice to use too, especially the Splattercannon. Then again though, Fallout 4 didnt make me feel like I was "in the world", but rather a spectator to the events, much like a JRPG :/ Favorite old dlc huh? Well I loved Old World Blues and Lonesome Road a lot. I also love The Pitt because i love urban wastelands so much. |

| The way the main game for New Vegas hinted at future DLC always interested me. The DLC for new Vegas definitely linked throughout the main story for the most part. I think FO4's DLC is petty underrated, Automaton was definitely an amazing idea for mini DLC that hopefully they learn from. The main DLC's were also fun however truth be told even with a lack of content there's always an instinctive feeling to rely on mods to just further enhance that.
I always loved Broken Steel for changing the actual world you were already familiar with, Point Lookout was also another favorite. (Ironic considering I prefer New Vegas over 3) |

| to me, it was always fallout new vegas dlc because , the first time player played it, you never knew much about the fallout universe, the interesting lore, mad scientist still exist, wonder where did cazador came from, all the DLC executed at the right moment when you hunger for more knowledge of Obsidian storytelling. |

| For me it got to be Point Lookout in Fallout 3 because of the atmosphere. It actually game me the chills in some of parts of the map. Especially when doing the main quest in the swamp.

| Fallout New Vegas DLCs were good because they expanded on the current mentioned characters in the Mojave. Father Elija, Joshua Graham, Mystery Mailman who is a connoisseur of bulls and bears. As well as characters like Christine and mentioned locations like the Big Empty. I found Fallout 4 DLCs to be far too shallow and separated from the base game (which I felt was lacking in compelling story please don't hurt me) and did not add to the over-arching narrative of the base world. Nuka World did the same thing. While it was interesting and fun, it lacked any sort of purpose and character development to the Lone Survivor as opposed to Lonesome Road for the courier. I would have to say that I enjoyed each New Vegas DLC in its own right. Which It was not perfect, it was far closer to perfection than any Fallout 4 DLC. I would have to say that my favorite would be Lonesome Road. It added so much to the story of the courier and his tangle with Ulysses and expanded on the legion/NCR conflict and introduced a fascinating location. _________________ swiggitty swooty I'm coming for that booty -George Washington |

| God, I love nuka world's worldspace because I get serious new vegas vibes from it. So much wasted potential though. For fallout 3, my favorite would probably be point lookout for the unique setting and atmosphere. For New Vegas, it would be Old World Blues for the hilarity and well written dialogue. _________________ |
