Hey so im starting a new FNV chareter and i was thinking on how to make a unique chareter. Can you guys recomend any new and exiting way of playing FNV.

Or, my personal go-to, hardcore roleplay. making only decisions you know your character would make, or having a handicap (low intelligence for example) and playing as such.

You could try setting some limits for yourself, such as rping as a vegan character in hardcore mode, only using 1-2 weapons or one type of weapon etc.

You can have set morals, as psykomanteum said "making only decisions your character would make." Also just have fun and experiment, you'll eventually get the character that you were hoping for.

Find a BB Gun and make a character that specializes only on that and let's see how it goes. Your final weapon of choice would be the Abilene Kid LE Bb Gun.


Don't underestimate the power of Abilene.

I'm always suggesting a melee build which is surprisingly good fun, especially against deathclaws and other nasties. You can also play with the endings and try to make the worst outcome for every faction and Mojave in general. And my personal favorite - play as a madman who kills every person that says "Patrolling the Mojave makes me wish for a nuclear winter".

well you could try a pacific way to finish the game, you know? without killing anybody, or an evil way, killing everything, making an alliance with Caesar...

or install some mods and finish with it

I'm currently playing a personally made winter / harsh snow overhaul mod, complete with winter clothed factions and revamped bases and camps to combat the weather (No more outdoor Legion and NCR camps just wide open). My friend whipped up a script that punishes you physically for having inadequate clothing to stay warm and forces you to unthaw water if outside.

I keep watching videos on The Frontier so I made my own small scale idea of a playthrough in The Mojave. If you learn to mod even halfway and offer to trade skills with other modders you can come up with some really cool personal playthroughs, just by swapping things like homemade texture sets for scripts and models.

I'd recommend Nevada Skies (winter edition), Project Nevada for the features to help you survive the cold, and some options like increased weapon degradation and increased gun spread. Follow that with some ingenuity like scarcer food, drinks and ammo, and you have a nice unique playthrough if you like the winter.
