| So, I've never really gotten into taking screenshots in game, mostly because I didn't know how, but recently since I'm attempting to get into it, do you guys use the free cam to take screen shots? Or just the normal camera that rotates around your character? Any advice would be helpful. If I'm going to post screenies I'd like them to be good ones, you know?
P.S. Does anyone know if you can still access console commands while having an xbox/ps3 controller plugged in? |

| Mostly, I type this command in console while playing in 3rd person: tfc It will change you to a free cam mode where your character will stand idle (unless you press the crouch key) and you will able to look around. So, I can post screenshots with a style.
Sadly, don't know but it's not possible (I guess). |

| The most amazing console command, IMO, for taking great screenshots is: TFC 1 This pauses the game, but allows you to move the camera around in real time, so that you can get amazing screenshots of stuff like combat, kills, etc from any angle you wish. Some of the coolest screenshots I've taken were done with this. (Note that using TFC 1 during VATS combat can result in the screen being blurred out by in-game imagespace FX) I also recommend lowering FOV for certain screenshots, like character close ups. Type in: FOV 20 (any number between 20-45 will do, depending on how you like them). To reset FOV to default after doing this, type in: FOV 75 This is a screenshot done with FOV 20 and TFC 1:

| Free cam is pretty essential for me when i take screenshots, as is the fov command. Another very useful command for action shot especially is: sgtm 0.1 It stands for Set game time multiplier. It will allow you to capture every detail in a scene in ultra slow motion, rather then trying to time it with tfc 1, you can use any value you like, 0.5 is half speed for example, use sgtm 1 to set it back to normal speed. An example of a shot i used sgtm to take. haha And yes you can use a controller and still have access to the console, you won't be able to use targeted commands because the mouse is disabled but ones like tfc and sgtm will work just fine. |

| Wow this goes alot deeper than I thought. Looks like I have quite a few tools at my disposal. Thank you guys for your insight, no way I would have figured there was so much to it on my own _________________ |
