Age old question: Fallout NV or Fallout 4? I'm torn in between because I really love the graphics of Fallout 4 and because the more prominent animators seem to have moved on to Fallout 4 now. Fallout NV have so much more in terms of RPG... though the FPS feeling doesn't feel as good. Can New Vegas just be remade with the Creation engine instead?

it could be made, but to recreate the role-playing mechanic like trait system, skills stats and perk its kinda hard to do, I am no modder but I just guessing it would be hard to make rpg overhaul mod

It's possible but to do that would take a whole company working on it since it's an entirely new engine and you'd probably want better graphics too so that's even longer. You'd be better off waiting for a new fallout to be made by obsidian than to try and remake fallout new vegas.

yeah I agree, like most modders said the new creation engine is hardcoded. it maybe take a while to crack the code to figure out how to put back the old system in previous games, but I really hope that it wouldn't make the next Elder Scrolls 6 feel dumb down simplified version..

@Foreceps New Vegas without a doubt, started a NV playthrough right after finishing 4 about 6 months ago and I haven't got back. In my opinion, NV modded to fuck > 4, although I may be bias cause I have a shitty laptop to play on so 4 doesn't look that great on my screen. In the end, it's about contenet, not looks for me, and NV provides a whole lot more of that than 4, and I really prefer NV and 3's atmosphere to 4's, 4 felt... I dunno... Too unrealistic...? It just didn't have the right vibe for me, everything seemed a bit off for some reason :/

It's really your choice. I'd always prefer Fallout 4 but I know a lot of people disagree with me. Really, all the advice I can give you is to choose the one that you think will give you more enjoyment for your playtime. Most would consider that Fallout NV, but it's 4 for me.

I hope FNV does get remade into the Creation engine, but it's a long way away and probably will never be made at all. I've seen a project on bringing Fallout 3 into the Creation Engine (which I too hope is finished) but not yet for FNV. If it ever does get remade into Creation I think it will have to bring back the perks and traits from NV otherwise it will get boycotted by Bethesda haters and FO4 loathers, which is quite sad. Personally I wouldn't mind but the traditionalists out there do.

Like many others have said, you're better off waiting for another Obsidian Fallout game, if that ever gets announced at all.

Definitely Fallout New Vegas, I prefer it way over the crappy looking and buggy Fallout 3 and over the non-fallouty Fallout 4. FNV has so many more modding options and is one of the best rpg's I ever played in my life. Animation wise Fo4 is way superior, but the graphics can be the same with some textures packs for New Vegas.
Remaking a game in a new engine is not that easy as it might sound, found a pretty nice video here. It's about pretty much about problems with reusing game worlds.

Fo4's engine will be the most optimised since its Bethesda's latest engine.

if your taking fallout 4 you might as well just take borderlands i'ts the same game minus the minecraft stuff.

Without a doubt in my mind I would choose Fallout New Vegas.

I love the atmosphere of NV, Fallout 4 comes no where near to recreating that true Fallout atmosphere. The story-line is also amazing.

Fallout New Vegas of course. What it better in New Vegas than Fallout 4?

-Mods and their quality.
-Atmosphere and the whole game is more appealing for me.
-Story. Fallout 4 has great story and the idea is interesting, but it could have been made better and more in depth.
-Game mechanics.
-Fallout 4 might look better graphics wise, but the whole game looks like plastic and I don't like that. Everything is so shiny.
-The world is more interesting.
-Better and more interesting factions.

These all just my personal opinions which I prefer more than other.

Without a doubt it would be New Vegas. It's my favorite of the series, used to be Fallout 2. I've been playing since release and haven't gotten bored yet.

Fallout 4, sadly I'm one of those guys who when I play a game on a better engine I find it hard to go back. most of my time in Fallout isn't for the story now anyway, it's mods and messing around.

120% Fallout New Vegas. No doubts in my mind. There is infinitely more to do in New Vegas, especially in terms of mods and what not. Even by itself, there's just more to do and it's overall a better game in my eyes.

New vegas all the way, has the best mods and in my opinion the best replay-ability. I like fallout 3 and 4 but yeah, most definitely vegas

I gotta pick Fallout NV, adding speech checks to certain skills you have rather than choose one of four options? No thanks.

New Vegas hands down; The writing, the characters, the memorable quests, the old school CRPG design philosophy, the retro-futuristic wild west setting. Everything about the game was genuinely fantastic. Obsidian really poured their hearts into it. It was the true sequel to Fallout 2.
People might say it lacked "atmosphere" but you can't deny it was packed with soul, something both Fallout 3 and 4 inherently lack.

I also want to point out the "atmosphere" thing is a bit of a misnomer. New Vegas isn't meant to be "post-apocalyptic", It was meant to be post-post-apocalyptic.
You are thrown into frontier, not a wasteland. NV takes place at a time where the scavenging economy transitions into an industrial market economy akin to the second industrial revolution(hence the heavy "wild west" theme). You'll also notice most of the issues are political, rather than environmental.

As partial as I am to Fallout 2 I have to choose New Vegas. More to do, more to mod, great story and with the right setup not bad graphics either.
