For some reason, my fallout NV has been playing up and ive been playing only on 30-45 fps but i have a gtx 970 4Gb, anyone know how to fix a loss of fps?

Do you think you could post your load order? It may be an issue with a certain mod

Are you using an ENB?

I don't think anybody would be able to help you unless you give additional details. Types of mods installed. Graphic mods installed, ENB?

As for me, I suppose you should do smth with Dust Storms. Maybe you should use version 1024x1024? Also WFO may be a reason of lagging, imho.

Oh. Didn't noticed ENB. It may have the greatest impact on your performance. If you like "colors" of your game with this ENB, just try to turn of some of the effects, such es DoF, shadows, etc.

I don't know if Rudy would impact performance that much. I've used it before with no issues.

As for performance, I'm not too certain, but it could be from using dust storms alongside better performance. Better Performance edits a looooot of references. Could you disable that and see if it makes any difference?
If not, the best I could suggest is disabling all plugins (aside from the vanilla ones) and enabling them one by one until you locate the culprit.

what was the last mod you installed or changes made? I can only see performance issues if NVAC was misconfigured or incorrect ENB settings base on your linited mods installed. You can also disable ENB effects in game to see if ENB is the cause as well.

I would definitely suggest turning off the better performance mod you have running. I have most of the same mods that you have shown here plus a ton more. The only two real differences i notice that would have any sort of impact on your game FPS would be the better performance and the dust storms mod.

Otherwise, you shouldn't be losing out on any FPS and your ENB wouldn't be causing much if any loss. I would try those two suggestions and then report back and go from there if the issue isn't resolved

@rangerecho That's strange. If removing those two mods didn't work, then i would try seeing if there are any new drivers available to download for your graphics card. I looked up cursor lag real quick and that was one of the first things that popped up. Maybe that could help? I'll try and look some more if you haven't solved it

I had stuttering when I last used Rudy.
Move your D3d9.dll from your directory temporarily (don't delete it, just move it), and try loading the game without the ENB. Your using the same graphics card as me and when I last used Rudy I had mover stutter issues. Though my fps was still 60...

Edit: I said earlier my Rudy caused no issues. Which was true for the time in which I first installed it. However when I las used it, I had major stuttering. I didn't realise that was your issue, in which case it's very likely you're experiencing the same thing I was. Simply turning off the enb in game does not help. You need to remove the Dll thus disabling the ENB. Don't delete it though. Just check first.

@IRORIEH This is what leads me to believe it may in fact be a graphics driver that's causing the issue. I use the Rudy ENB and have no issue like this. It may be something to do with how the graphics card handles an ENB loading into the game.

I found this site when i was looking around and it had a lot of suggestions to try. Maybe some of these will help.

I never seen this before. Should probably give it a try myself. I know NVIDIA cards can be a bit wierd when it comes to enbs.

You could always turn your graphical settings down a bit, make sure that you are making a merged patch with nvedit, that helped me out alot when i introduced ttw to my load order.

@DemiGodOdin, i already tried lowering my settings, i didnt do anything unfortunatly...

@"rangerecho" do you have any visual overhauls or overhauls in general other than your enb? if youre using certain overhaul mods they can impact performance a lot

you could probably do a fresh install if needed and reinstall mods one by one, its a pain to do but it can make all the difference

I recommend looking up INI fixes such as the BusethreadedAI fix.
