I was thinking, what's the scariest thing that you witnessed or happened to you in a fallout game?
Mine was going through The Dunwich Building and witnessing that flashback thing. I entered it thinking it was just a normal office with a bunch of protectrons but boy was I wrong. I replayed fallout 3 more than 7 times. Only went in there once.

I've been Jump Scared dozens of times by ferals and deathclaws, but I think mine would have to be being locked in the Robco Battlezone in Nuka Galaxy. I was on my survival character and hadn't saved in 2 hours when I stupidly wondered in and heard the door lock, I had to pull some desperate last minute moves to get out of there.

O man, It's why I'm always cautious when I'm on survival. Also, deathclaws.. well
My first game was Fallout NV so I never seen one. Kept hearing about "Critters that just get mad when you shoot them" near quarry junction and when I saw a bunch of them running towards me and my 9mm gun was just scraping them this is how I looked like:

I was like 9 and played Fallout NV for the first time on PS3. Naturally I sucked at it, and I played my dad's save. It was night time in real life and in game and went to Black Mountain and for whatever reason the Nightkin and super mutants scared the everliving crap out of me

I almost started playing Fallout 4; without mods. Thankfully, I didn't, but instead, I started off with the "load order" mini-puzzle-game. After further research, I found Loot...and I was able to crack the "mod load order" code and play the game the way I intended to play. I dodged quite a bullet there as I almost ended up playing "vanilla"

@"NeoSnow" most would say the Dunwitch jump scare its over all vibe is great for that reason i love when bethasda puts little nods to HP Lovecraft's works in their games saying that i dont believe anything has spooked me in a fallout game to come to memory although swimming under water and having no more air AKA "the sonic effect" kicks in haha

The scariest moment for me, was in the lonesome road addon, when the tunneler tore apart that death claw, i was all like nope and hurried towards the entrance, but was able to get up on the semi trailer and shoot the little monsters with my anti material rifle, from out of their reach, after I got out of the tunnel, i stopped playing for a couple days, cause those things freaked me out

I looked at Fallout 3's ground textures for more than 2 seconds.

gosh went back into Fallout 3 and saw that awful BoS initiate recon armour. So low-res and potato textures. Then went back into Fallout 4 and was even more shocked by the terrible BoS bodyglove they use which is so low-res.

Bethesda, stop focusing on releasing 58gb landscape textures and start retexturing your goddamn potato armours.

Not really scary, but when I was first playing Fallout 4, I went into the shopping mart with all the ghouls in it, thought I had killed them all and started looting the fridge. At some point in between, a ghoul snuck up on me. I turned around and saw it stood there.
Honestly the only time I've ever jumped at a Fallout game. If only there was a way to put Fallout 4's ghoul animations and behaviours into New Vegas... Those new ghouls are awesome!

The scariest shit are toilets. Yeah, toilets. I'm always getting the feeling that behind that stupid door, there's either a trap I oversaw or some stupid ghould jumping straight into my face. So yeah, bathrooms are really my worst nightmare lol. And these mannequins are pretty scary behind doors too, lol.

The Dunwich Building in 3 and Dunwich Burors in Fallout 4. 4 isn't scary at all so my expectations weren't all there. So to my surprise it gave off a scary uneasy vibe and I noped the f out of there as soon as I reached the end. I forgot to get the legendary knife, but eh Atom's Judgement is better.

Has to be the very first time I played Fallout 3. I was oblivious of the game and a friend let me borrow it and I walked into the elementary. My god, the face I made as I saw what a raider was and what they were capable of doing. And those giant fucking ants. Then it was the super mutants when I went to go rescue Red([/i]i think[/i]) and not knowing what encumbered was or fast traveling. She died.

ehh still gross as fuck. still not as bad as those gosh darn spiders the size of either a large dog or small bear in skyrim
all the gore in a bag, mutilated parts, loot in the bag so I went through all the bags and heard the macaroni sound about a few thousand times now. never change fallout.

Dragbody's Dead Money Overhaul was the scariest thing that ever happened to me in FO:NV.
