| So we will have to wait and see if FO4 is indeed a flop. By wait I mean the DLCs.
Now with the recent Skyrim Remaster announcement, its kinda off-putting. I mean do I keep modding or do I just leave it cause we have now entered into the realm of it might all hit the fan.
I am tempted to reinstall FNV, and its been a LONG time since I have played FNV.
I was wondering if there has been anything new since?
What bodies are we all using? Weapon Packs? Project Nevada still a thing? Anything I need to look out for?
Since I last played FNV, I have upgraded my computer significantly.
I now have a 980ti, anything specific I need to look out for when tinkering with ENBlocal.ini like Skyrim?
I have learned alot over the years modding FO3, FNV and Skyrim, things I previous did not know so I am certain my experience with FNV this time around isn't going to be me just plugging in whatever hot file mod.
Any specific utilities and tools I should know of? i.e. TES5Edit, Mod Organizer, Merge Plugins? |

| Not much of a body expert for skyrim but I always use cbbe , and look into; unbleak enb, vividian enb , tetrachromatic enb or k enb if you want some kick ass enb. Weapon packs for skyrim are mostly subjective but immersive weapons is pretty much a must. We also now have a legendary edition patch and the development of a modders patch seems to have started as well. For some other gems check out the files of the month of the last few months. For fnv on the other hand I use robert's body for male as I never play a female in fnv. And there is for me only 1 enb which is cutting it for fnv : Hitman enb 47 2 the sequel And millenia's weapon pack is still the most popular , but be sure to check out the public GUN mods as there some sweet stuff in it regarding armors and weapons and more. And of course welcome to GUN , pleas see the FAQ for any questions or ask them here pleas. Have fun and see you around. Lukaboot. |

| So I am downloading it and plunging myself back in to New Vegas!
Now, its been quite a few years so I have been busy reading up on what I need:
1. Mod Organizer for FNV (Which is the same as the one for Skyrim); 2. NVSE v 5.0b3 (because I like to live life dangerously); 3. 4G FONV Launcher Updated v 1.9; 4. OneTweak; 5. LOOT; 6. NVSR; 7. Merge Plugins Standalone; <== Not sure whether the standalone uses Tes5Edit 8. FNV Edit; 9. Wyre Flash/MatorSmash; 10. FNV Lodgen; 11. ENB; 12. Yukichigai Unofficial Patch; 13. MCM; 14. NVAC;
Am I missing anything essential? The above should be updated and I should have covered the basics ya?
EDIT: What in the damn hell happened to Type 3? Its hidden! Is that still the most popular body for armors? What body do dragbody's armors use? Its been such a long time I forgot! |

| Don't forget that Someguy released NV Bounties 3! _________________ “The worst thing that could possibly happen to anybody would be to not be used for anything by anybody. Thank you for using me, even though I didn't want to be used by anybody.” -Kurt Vonnegut |

| There is BOUNTIES 3! And I couldn't climb ladders before?!?! Dynamic Crosshair? Pfft what am I playing? Overwatch? I don't need no hitbox and crosshairs, thats what the ironsight and vats is for!
Thank you all for the recommendations and suggestions! Keep them coming!
Project Lazerus is definitely in the list, and I will probably be turning off the crosshair cause I am badass like that or I just want more eye candy.
So I haven't missed any essentials ya? That is more of what I am worried about? Like some random memory patch or NVSE Plugin that I might have overlooked? |

| If i'm not mistaken every dragbody pack uses Breezes New Vegas Males and for female body replacers there's Beware of girl type 3 and a few others and if you're not into the whole nude thing there's New Vegas Type 3 Armor Pack this is the one that I use |

| Are there vanilla armor replacers for type 3 or is there a standalone pack?
i don't quite remember what I used back then, but I think I used a non-skimpy type 3 armor replacer, but used a nude body. Guess I could use both and overwrite Type 3 Armor Pack with BOG Type 3 Body if the body shape is more or less the same.
The only thing I can't stand is my body changing after equipping armor, I think I have been spoiled by Bodyslide and Skyrim. |

| @Lukaboot Yes I had it confused, I forgot the standalone no longer requires FNVedit. I only used the standalone for Skyrim and for years I had used the TESVedit Script version.
So I have chosen to go with Dynamo ENB + Nevada Skies ALL the re-textures I could find including better meshes for collision and architecture etc.
Some re-texture mods took a little manual tinkering like Wasteland Clothing and Breeze, specifically Powderganger Armors cause one was overwriting the other and it was also overwriting a transparency bug.
That should be it for the basics, thank you all for your input.
Game is good to go and I am gonna my hand at a new game with the Jsawyer mod first. Get a feel of the mojave before I go around screwing it up with UFOs and Battleships and pew pew nukes coming out of pistols.
There are a few things that are bugging me and like I said I think its because I have been spoiled by Skyrim and that is Fallout Character Overhaul and the compatibility of bodies. To date I believe its still Breeze > Roberts? I remember Dragbody and his armors use Breeze? But the seams are driving me nuts! AND THE EXTRA EYEBROWS! |
