Sweet. I've been waiting for a new battlefront game for ages. It's a shame they skipped the Xbox-360/PS3 gen though. Battlefront I will still be the best though.

Battlefront I was definitely my favorite as well. Me and my friends played it everyday and me and my friends favorite part was running from the heros like Darth Vader and trying to blow them off the edges of the map. Those were some good times and hopefully this game can bring back some of those awesome times me and my friends had back in the golden days. Still kinda wish that the cancelled Battlefront III came out during the life of PS3/Xbox360 and then we got to see this game from DICE, but oh well. Here we are about to get our hands on a new Battlefront game and I'm excited!

I've been waiting eagerly for this game ever since it was first announced. My younger brother and I played the first two games on our PS2 for hours. I told him about this and he got all excited. Hell, even my father wants to play this. He's a Battlefield 4 player and loves piloting so he's excited to pilot a TIE fighter.

My family and I are ready to take the fight to Rebel scum.

My god, all that nostalgia, playing Battlefront 1 and 2 with my friends when I was eight and stuff... working as a team of clone troopers, feeling all badass, lightsaber duels... Those were great times.

A real shame 1313 got cancelled, I was excited as hell for that one, I have always wanetd to play as Boba Fett in a Star Wars game, being all cool n' shit... ;_;

But it's nice to see they are continuing Battlefront, without a doubt one of my favourite star wars games ever.

Apoqsi I always used to run the jedi over in tanks when I could. It always felt like such an achievement when they died.

I what made battlefront 1 better than 2 was the maps. They were much more open and felt a bit less like arenas than the second one. I also loved how overpowered the droids were (especially the destroyer droids). It made it pretty hard to play as the clones which was part of the fun.

So what features, settings and factions do people hope appear in battlefront 3? and what where the best parts in 1 and 2?

Might be asking too much, and I highly doubt this would happen, but I think it would be a really good opportunity for Battlefront 3 to include scenes, characters and maps from the new Star Wars film coming out. Besides updated gameplay and graphics, as well as new features, Battlefront 3 may pretty much just be the same as Bf 1 and 2: same locations, same characters, same factions. But I dunno, I think if they added Star Wars 7 stuff it might bring some more fresh stuff to the table.

Seriously though, I almost forgot about this release. Thanks for reminding me. I played Battlefront 1 & 2 to death!

I really wish that we got to see 1313, it looked like it was turning into a great game. I also have to say that Jango Fett & Boba Fett are two of my favorite characters, mainly because of the armor, and I really hope we get to see playable heroes in this new reboot of the Battlefront franchise.

I definitely have to agree that it felt like an achievement finally getting rid of the hero that comes during the matches as you couldn't kill them with your actual gear, as far as I could tell at least, and you had to use either the map environment (like falling off the map) or vehicles to kill them. It was either that or you had to just run away and avoid them which was fun as well. I also have to agree with you about the maps, in Battlefront I they actually felt like a starwars battlefield but in Battlefront II it felt like arenas or maps like in Call of Duty which isn't exactly good for the series in my opinion. I hope we see big maps with also bots in this game to fill the battlefield and make it an epic fight, but not bad playing bots like in Titanfall haha. I also hope there are single player or even coop like modes like Galactic Conquest, yet I highly doubt we will see something like that. :/

Now that Disney owns the franchise, which in my eyes is a good thing for Star Wars at this point, they will want to continue making money off of it in all the market categories, not just through movies. I'm sure we will start seeing at least a bare minimum of one Star Wars title every 1-2 years and probably more than that tbh.. :p

Yeah, after 1313 was discontinued, and the expanded universe was announced as non-canon, there better be a playable Boba Fett or Jango Fett in Battlefront, otherwise I am gonna' go all Liam Neeson Taken on the developer's asses!

A bit of the newer movies would be just fine, in my honest opinion. Real shame about there not being any clones though, I may prefer the originals to the prequels, but there is no denying that the clone troopers were very cool.

I've always loved Star Wars, and Battle Front was one of the first video games I remember playing. I am super excited for this game and am glad how many others are!

I'm very happy now.

i am really looking forward to this game and am excited to see how far the series has come from the days of SWBF 2. so glad they didn't choose to end the series

YES! I would love to see gameplay. I can not even imagine the epicness.

I'm sure they will put them in. I actually hope they improve Galactic Conquest mode. In BF 1 it was too linear and easy and in BF2 it consisted of you invade a planet, the enemy invades naboo, you invade a planet, the enemy invades naboo and so on until you loose naboo or win the game

That would be bad but I do think they won't put them in. It's a shame cos even though the prequel movies aren't as good that doesn't mean it wasn't fun to play as the droids and clones because of their unique units. Having more factions mean more playability in the game.

I'll wait till it's released or at least footage to pass judgement. I'm not that bothered if they have Jedi since I thought the OP heroes were annoying in BF2 and they didn't do much in BF1.

I'm quite looking forward to the game myself. I'm really interested to see footage of the gameplay right now as I do hope it will be quite different to Battlefield, I loved playing the first two games and I have high expectations from DICE as this has been quite a long time coming.

My only real concern is EA, as everyone else is probably feeling too. Hopefully the game is released complete and polished
