I don't mean to be so negative, but it's a franchise from my childhood I feel very strongly about (as we all probably do), and I don't trust DICE, EA, and a scripted, pre-rendered two minute trailer.
Still, it might end up being a good Star Wars game but definitely won't be a good Battlefront game, if you know what I mean.
It will include over 8 maps in total at launch, and over two per planet. There was never a campaign for the original games but there are going to be co-op missions and other modes that are "like" the original games. There are no microtransactions in Battlefield games, besides battle packs in Hardline, so idk why you would think there would be in this game. DLC are included in every game and it's extra content, if you don't want to buy it you don't have to. The future maps will be from the new movie and other maps like Naboo and Mustafar. Also, can you trust all of the people such as youtubers who grew up playing these games that saw the exclusive gameplay that are ecstatic about this game and also the graphics. If you watch all the videos I've made you should've gotten the vibe that this game won't be alike. However, I will be making a video discussing this topic so if you want to wait for that video and what that hold, I'd love it if you watched it and gave your opinion on it.

I'm awaiting this game with great anticipation. Even if it won't be as good as I remember the original being I think it will still be a fun and enjoyable game. And I think JackFrags might do the "gameplay trailer" a lil more justice as he describes and recounts actual gameplay in his video a bit more [I can't post link sorry].

@Apoqsi I see what you mean, bro. If the mechanics work without fault, it's perfectly balanced, the air units and dogfighting are sublime and there's a good range of meticulously built maps (4 planets, with 8 maps in total doesn't necessarily mean much to me, but you could still have a huuuuge range of terrain and map styles even with just 1) it will stand as a great game on its own.
Still with Battlefield 4 DLC there was like a bunch of map packs worth $15 or so each, and then there's the introduction of battlepacks or whatever, giving a better experience and more content for those willing to open their wallets. I just hope Battlefront won't go in this direction. I appreciate DLC more along the lines of BC2 (The Vietnam expansion was great, and added an entirely new experience), or Red Orchestra 2 and the free content updates.
I really do appreciate your videos though, man. Thanks for filling me in on the new info. I'll be watching many of your videos in the future

It does sound really disappointing that they have cut so many features. I really hope that they've not cut so much of the game that it has just turned into a generic team based shooter.

I'm kind of disappointed with this. The trailer looks amazing but it's not exciting me as much as the Free Radical Battlefront 3.

I'm personally not a fan of the ordering options...

hm, i think for a collector of games or for those who are realy big fans of star wars, the deluxe verstion is more attractive ( different box, special features and some ingame bonus items ) but i think the standard version is good as well. if i buy this i will wait anyway a bit longer before i buy it. first i want to see if its worth the price. the trailer looks great indeed but that dosent mean the game is good. as example remember the force unleashed 2. it did look also very cool but the story was very disapointing and made no sense. for almost 60 euros ( i live in germany ) i want a bit more then just cool graphics. what matters for me is, can my pc handle this game, how is the gameplay, what are the features of a game... something like that.

It runs on the same engine as Dragon Age Inquisition/Battlefield 4, Rex, so seeing how your PC handles either of those should give you a rough idea.
