Hi, just made an account. How do I hide this annoying spider and user signatures?

The spider can go away by clicking it after leaving your mouse idle for a few seconds and quickly clicking it before it follows you. Don't worry, it's only gonna remain for Halloween.

As for hiding user signatures, go to your settings and see for any settings allowing to hide user signatures, although I seriously doubt you can.

Thanks, that's pretty lame that you can't hide them as there are a lot of people who have gigantic gifs in their signatures, it really distracts from the content.

I suppose you get a lot of people around here like me who are just checking out the mods? It's a pretty interesting collection. I was looking at that outlawers pack. Do many people use CBBE, AWKCR and AE frameworks? I can't find much mention of them

You presume correctly that many do create accounts just for the mods...though I haven't seen anyone ask in their first post how to remove the "individualism" from an online community...and their second post be rather judgmental over the lack of the option...it really does speak to your intentions and motive for completing the arduous process of creating an account...oh and to answer your question

Yes; I'm sure many people use CBBE...it is the most downloaded mod on the nexus
Yes; quite a few also use AWKCR and Armorsmith Extended...they're quite popular also

Why are you looking for any mention of them? They arent hosted here...this isnt a mod repository...i think youre looking for: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/searchresults/?

They mention the mods you seek quite liberally...and a lot of other great mods require them...have you joined up over there? There may even be an option to hide signatures...ads too if you pay...I know you're all about maximizing your screen real estate as it makes it much easier to "grab and go"

Your first post and it isn't even an introduction, it's a complaint.

A signature typically represents that person's distinct identification in this Community. This is after all, a Community, not a place for leeches to take content and leave; this site wasn't designed with that purpose in mind.

And yes, Unfortunately we do get people who "just" come to check out the Mods & are purely here for content, the best place for people like that is the Nexus.

It is. There are a lot of posts where the content of the post is a quarter or half the size of the signature. Mix that in with gigantic avatars and it's practically like using KissAnime. There are a lot of forums and communities that have the option to disable these kinds of things for people. It was just a question, you don't need to read into it that much.

I know very well how to find the nexus content. It is not indicated if the outlawers outfits are vanilla or not.

You know, between this comment, OSOK and Wolfhunter1903, it really appears that the mods don't enforce their own rules. The elitism is real, and there is no indication that putting in the work to get into the vip area is even worth it.

If you guys get this defensive and hostile when someone asks a few questions, well I can't really guess at how things will work out for you.

In any case, y'all need to stop getting offended when someone want's to just configure a damn option that most other forums have, and frankly, the opinion policing is ridiculous.

As for the Avatars they are quite small I have a little laptop I use next to my modding pc and I don't see the cluttered mess you seem too. However any feed back is welcome and I am sure this is something I can bring up for you if it bothers you that much. After all we are accommodating Hope you enjoy your stay ^.^

The spider made me jump the first time I saw it, don't see why you want to get rid of it.

Elitism? Where? Oh are you referring to the standards set by the community? The bar isn't too high for most...about waist height...that's the ideal height for the bar around here, though by your comment referring to the "work" one has to put in...you're accustom to that bar being on the floor. You seem agitated about not being able to find the guarantee that if you "work hard" you'll get your "payday" when really it isn't asking too much, just be a decent human being and display a modicum of respect and participate...do not simply spectate. You mention "most other forums..." Alluding to your "online forum experience" if you're so unhappy then why torture yourself further? I simply don't understand this entitlement YOU carry as if to suggest you're OWED something more than you've received...which if that's the case you don't. Further...the response you've received aren't hostile...or even defensive; you're reading it that way so I gotta ask...just how sensitive are you? Because, this is me taking it "light" and I have not yet found a reason to get hostile; though I'm not a stranger to that action...it just is not warranted at this time.

As for your example ask about CBBE in reference to outlawer's outfit pack...I'll pose this question to you; if it isn't mentioned...why in the hell would you presume it to apply? Since you're no stranger to the nexus...isn't every mod there that is compatible with CBBE advertising as such?

Lastly, who is policing opinions? Just want to know who is wasting their time...or is that just your opinion?

I like the spider and theme of the website, really tells a lot about the community. There isn't many websites that even bother hosting events. Besides its not like the spider is going to be an all round kind of thing. The signatures, i dont see a problem with people having them shows creativity. Ive been at a number of forums that use signatures, a lot of them have bigger sizes than whats used here....
