I always kike to play  all my game series in chronological  order and with fallout that is the most fun part, and Making my own head canon is also the most fun. Although  I do have trouble  not making all my characters the same and act like me :/ what about you guys do you play the stories in order building an overarching  story so fallout 1 tactics  2 3 NV and 4? And if so how do you keep your characters from all being the same as in like yourself?

Also if you want you can say your charcters name and backstories I find those  very interesting

I played the Fallout series in a weird order
NV 3 1 2 then 4
and that's not counting all the NV playthrough inbetween those

@gibons45 Lol so I suppose whatever order of the games you feel like playing? I alwyas aim to an everything in chrono order t feels weird out of place

@vahn65 to be fair it wasn't intentional i didn't even know about the Fallout series until i played New Vegas on a whim and i'll usually play a series of games in order.

Well, I'm mostly trying to play a series in order, however sometimes it's just can't happen. For example I didn't hear about the Jedi Knight games until Jedi Knight II. - Jedi Outcast came out. That was pretty much my first Star Wars game (along with some others, I got 3 Star Wars games at the same time for my birthday). After that I played thorugh Jedi Academy next year, when it was brand new. And later, I started to go backwards, since I wanted to experience the whole series. It was the same with the GTA games, Vice City was my first one, I only played through GTA III, when I was finished with San Andreas too. Which isn't a bad thing really, since GTA III's events are taking place years after SA. Also, my first Elder Scrolls was Oblivion, and my first Fallout was New Vegas.

As I said, I prefer to play games in order, but sometimes you just simply miss, or ignore a series until a certain episode. Anyway I don't really mind if I have to play an older game, as long as it has a good story, interesting characters, and fun gameplay.

Played Fo3, FNV, FO4 in the order. Glad to see some reference to Little Lamplight and other things in the last episode.

@gibons45 Yeah thats happpened to me before but I always feel like i am missing something when that happens haha I can do that with Final fantasy becasue it doesnt matter as the stories dont connect but i still do anyway

@Drutar Does the the Jedi Knight games have a connecting story? I wasnt aware O may give it a try then. As for GTA that one is a bit harder because no one I know wants to bak and play 1 and 2 but i am assuming that the stories only kind mix from 3 and up. Also me too My first Elder Scrolls and beth game was oblivion. I tried to go back and play daggerfall and arena....I just cant from the controls to the way the game is set up i cant enjoy it morrowind ill give another try one of these days but seires where the beginning games are hard to get into make it hard for me to go back and play in order.

@kazeem Yeah it was great so Macraeday again and other references It would be the first game in the series that doesn't mention a previous protagonist though not the vault dweller or the lone wanderer. I was very disspinted when i found Dr.Li and she didnt even bother to mention James at all. /
