So, I've been playing alot more Fallout 4 recently(Ironically not as much Nuka World.) and seeing Dr. Li and other FO3 characters kind of made me wonder...where is my Lone Wanderer? Now when I say that, I mean your own specific Lone Wanderer. Not the Lone Wanderer in general. The reason for this is because the "canon" whereabouts for the Lone Wanderer is apparently he left DC and vanished.

So, as I said. This is a topic about where your personal Lone Wanderer is, based off his personality and story.

With me, I like to think that he eventually joined up with Reilly's Rangers for a time and would do the odd and occasional mission with them and then would eventually move to Megaton where Moira and he started a relationship and eventually became a couple. Yes, I know Moira is 24 years old. However I believe in FO3 the Lone Wanderer is about 19 years old. So, I like to think they made it work. Also my Lone Wanderer probably kept in contact with the Brotherhood of Steel for a while until Elder Lyons and Sarah Lyons both died. Then he probably lost contact with them and just moved on all together.

Anyway, that's my ending for him, but I'd like to hear yours!

In my Game:

My Lone Wanderer (Luis) destroyed the Enclave with the Brotherhood,and took care of Arthur Maxson.
Elder Lyons died in 2280 and Maxson became Elder of the BoS, cause Sarah didn´t wanted the position. After a year Luis left the BoS and joined up Reilly´s Rangers. After he joined up the Rangers earned good Reputation, and more and more Wastlanders and Mercs wanted to join. After some Months they became very powerfull and moved to North Carolina to a big Town called "Last Hope". they settled down there and "Last Hope" had an Army. After Butch died in a Battle with a Raider Gang Luis was Reilly´s second in command. They fell in love and after a little time Reilly got pregnant. Luis and Reilly called her Delilah.

Thats the end of his Story.

I also wroted a book about the Lone Wanderer´s Story after Project Purity, i could have wrote much more in this Post, but i think this is enough.

Since bethesta is being ...itself .We can just speculate .There was a lot of cut content from fallout 4 .Like the 101 vault suit .There is the Wasteland survival guide .That points ,that the Lone wanderer and Moira have been in the Commonwealth and did stupid stuff .
Also the lore contradicts itself ...ugh its like Warhammer 40k .
If he is alive ,he is around 29yo or she.
Maybe he was the Courier all along ...
Personally i got nothing .Probably your stories make much more sense .I like to stick with the non existing story.

My character destroyed the Citadel, blew up Megaton, killed everyone at Tenpenny Tower and now lives out the rest of his days in a bunker in Springvale.

@Wolfhunter1903 That's honestly pretty cool and very creative! I like creating stories for my Fallout characters. Instead of letting them wander off as intended I like to make up an ending in my head. :3

@Tr3ach3ry Understandable. From what I heard the Wasteland survival guide says that the Lone Wanderer left the Capital Wasteland and simply vanished which I don't like. As for the Vault 101 suit, I'm honestly not sure if it was intended for anything. I think it was just put in there as either an easter egg or test suit.

@Gunnermod266 I'm not sure if there is a bunker in the vanilla Springvale, however if you're using a modded bunker then I think I have it as well. XD The one where the gas station is, right? :3 I use that one all the time. It's a nice little home for you to stash your stuff.

So most of my Lone Wanderer's are my Couriers when I role-play them both. But in my newest one Roleplay's I did where they were different characters I imagine he ended up becoming one of Elder Maxon's Commander's.

My lone wanderer escaped the Commonwealth, shamed by what became of the BoS. After watching the BoS become a bastard child of the Enclave, my Lone Wanderer flees after several instances of BoS members harassing and even killing Settlers in the Wasteland. After the BoS enter the commomwealth shortly after the Wanderer, the Wanderer begins his path to redemption, destroys the BoS and the Institute who terrorize the Commonwealth, and sets out to rebuild the BoS by the codes he always knew it by, training the Minutemen to arm and secure themselves.

My Lone Wanderer was last seen spiraling out of control over the horizon after a mini nuke went off next to his feet... FWOOSH .... Ding~

Second One got his face smooshed in when I installed the one (final) mod that made everything crumble (the Dreaded CTD of 'Oshisonuhas2manymodson').

Couldn't tell you what happened to numbers 3-10. 11 though... 11 is still nestled in the Capital Wasteland, taking revenge out upon the Super Duper mart near Megaton...he didn't have an easy playthrough...a lot of deaths revolved around that place. And he's still Super Duper mad about it. #allthehate

Probably went to Japan, or whatever that is left of it... there was still no confirmation that Japan was nuked in the Fallout Universe, so they may have advanced tech in which My immortal teenage character could be a ninja, I should add the Japanese segment into the next season of TSOC.

I could make up this huge elaborate story as to his whereabouts and why he left but for me, I prefer the original ending. He died sacrificing himself to fulfill his mother and father's dying wish and making the DC Wasteland livable.

My Lone Wanderer did everything he could in DC. He slaughtered everyone who he thought was bad, and saved everyone he thought was good.

Then he took his sister, his pet Deathclaw and a bunch of other people and went off to New Vegas. On the way there they died (through unknown circumstances (I couldn't think of anything)), and he ended up with most of his stuff destroyed. Then Fallout: New Vegas happened.

After killing every family in New Vegas, including House, throwing the NCR out of the Mojave and killing Caesar (with a spear), he eventually became the Emperor of New Vegas: Emperor Six.

Now that he had, or has, a basically unlimited army and a huge amount of weapons, companions, armors and a bunch of other stuff (mods), he made the Mojave good again. There aren't any raiders or fiends around anymore, no more Legion. But he didn't just kill them, no, he made them his lobotomized soldiers.

He conquered any and all DLC and Vanilla areas, saving, killing or enslaving any- and everyone he came across. As soon as he's done with that (and I'm able to install TTW), he'll set his sights on DC. I've no doubt that it'll be a glorious empire.

TL;DR: Good guy, lots of mods, became Courier and Emperor Six

...but wouldn't that result in the Enclave kicking the shit out of the Brotherhood of Steel? Doesn't seem like a Happy Ending.

My Lone Wanderer is just sitting their doing nothing, can't have kids (probably due to all the rad-away he took), waiting for a quest to do (finished all the quests in the game and collected most of the items in the game.) Until it hit him in the head that he can go find what the heck is this "California" place is about, probably a new settlement that he can help with! He goes to find a map and found it in the National Archives. It said it was west from here. He set out to find this settlement where ever it is.

He found that during the travel 4 years had past and during the travel he saw some Ugly looking enclaves with some tribal art pieces on them not far from the west of Washington DC. Obviously he killed them all again as they killed his father. They were for some reason yelling out that they were the "Brotherhood" and that they are from the "Tactic bridge". He thought they were talking nonsense to him so just killed them all. He took most of their power armor as a souvenir of the crazed Enclave remnants.

As soon as he reached California he heard that someone needed help taking something somewhere. He went to get the job of "Courier". Whatever that is, he wanted a job as he's bored of doing nothing for nearly 4 years so he took it. He began his travel to "New Vegas" and ran into 3 people, one in a suit and two in a vest. They beat him badly and stripped him of his goods and tied him up. They then shot him in the head. But luckily he was enhanced by nano machines that make him regenerate his injuries and makes him super perfect (and blow up). However before the explosion happened, they buried him in a shallow grave leaving him for dead. He woke up in a home and was looking at some old dude who call himself Mitchell and he patched him up from his injuries (what injuries I don't see a bullet hole). He then perceives to force him to look as this "vigor machine". He declines and walked out of the door. He then went up a hill and walked to a sign that said "DANGER". However that didn't stop him, He have seen worst as he slaughter thousands AT AN AGE OF 19 and helped everyone AT 19 YEARS OLD. He walked for a while until he hears a buzzing sound around him.

*POW* Right into his chest, a Giant, Furious, and green Bloatfly hit him with his stinger. More comes out and perceives to do the same. He tried to teleport away, but his nano-machines were broken. His explosions did nothing too. He tried to run away from them but they kept coming. His life flashes in front of his eyes, he thinks of all the good time he could have done if he didn't leave the DC ruins, he could have live happily with Amata or Sarah Lyon (If Elder Lyon says yes) after he's done with his quests even with no child to pass on. He falls down and they keep jabbing him in the back. His body full of holes with poison seeping out and his organs lying their next to him as these THINGS rip him open for some food. He yell out his final words and that being "Fffffuuuucckkk Yyyyyyyooooouuu....." he then dies from his injuries made by beasts far more worst than Deathclaws or any Super Mutant Behemoths.

@zoro4661 i would say that your Wanderer has very Bad Karma, but if he´s taking over DC, theres a problem, between LV and DC there is a huge amount of "Landmass", and so he needs a second in command who watches over DC

Well, since Sarah was allowed to die, that suggests the majority of my Wanderers over the years had moved on by that point. They would never have let it happen.

But I guess it makes sense, because often I consider it a given that my Wanderers head West, to see civilization or even end up as the Courier. In the latter examples, they create a life in the Mojave. The timeline is very tight thanks to Lonesome road, but with a borrowed Vertibird or even taking six months or more to reach the West coat you can still argue that three years is plenty of time to blow up the Divide by accident and wander the NCR and surrounds pretty extensively.

I suppose the Lone Wanderer wasn't spoken of even in 'mythical' terms because they could well be dead. In the base vanilla game, you die, or let Sarah die. And as she now canonically dies some years later as the Elder... well. They won't confirm either way, because allowing for the DLC is a must, and making up your own endings, but it seems the likely reason for not even doing a 'the Nerevarine is rumored to have gone to Akavir.'

Honestly this is a question i could never answer. In nearly ten years, I've had a great many Lone Wanderers. My first Lone Wanderer died following in his fathers footsteps, as this was pre-Broken Steel. My main console Wanderer served in the Brotherhood for a while, depressed, sat in his Megaton house for a while and moped (between DLC), and then settled in on the Zeta with Elliot and Sally. Others have done various things from throwing canon out of the window (leaving Dad to rot, forming the Terran Starship Command with the Zeta Crew mod, not been the Wanderer at all due to alternate start mods, ect.). Others have become a full time superhero as both AntAgonizer and Mechanist, become a travelling Regulator/Lawman. One stayed in Point Loookout. And this probably just scratches the surface, as we are talking many years of gaming. I hadn't realized how old FO3 is until this thread.

It's actually longer since Fallout 3 came out now, than it was since Fallout 2 had come out at Fallout 3's release. If I'm doing the math right.
