Thought this was interesting and didn't see it posted so thought I'd share for discussion. Fo4 obviously has options that are made exclusively for Nvidia cards, but I never thought Nvidia, or any company really, would come out and make an official mod to showoff their tech in the game. The mod is available Sept. 2nd on bethnet. It looks interesting, but it doesn't seem like it will be playable for most people with all these extra features. I'm on a 1080 and can't even play with godrays on without getting pixel blur around objects in direct light unless I have the setting on high, which just leads to even more significant frame rate drops outside. Even the debris effects do not come without a noticeable affect on performance.

This looks awesome, I really hope a GeForce GTX 970 will be able to run it though.

I cant seem to access that mod at all O-o Anyone have a WORKING link for it? Or even a Non-Bethesda.net version of the mod?

I'm really interested in the quest. I hope someone will give an in depth review or playthrough video. I wish there were a version with the quest only.

Oh my! I really hope that my PC will be able to run it. Probably not. I don't even mind playing with a low framerate. Lowest being 30-20-ish and them anything below being unplayable even though my computer can handle most games on high-ultra settings with graphics mods at 60.

Oh man I can't wait to play it. It's probably just going to be eye candy, but hopefully NVIDIA does something with gameplay, and cheeky references too.

I'm praying that my 980 will make it through ok.

Damn my amd setup is screwed... But no matter what setup people have the game is poorly optimized.
Looking in one direction you get like 90 fps, look an inch to the left and the game drops to 30ish fps..
Or maybe its just my r9 290x..
Too bad alot of the features aren't optimized for amd users..
I coming over to the green side pretty soon!

Pretty sure its just a normal mod but the lighting options and whatever more fancy stuff they added won't work on AMD

games is really optimised on Nvidia Fallout 3 i think has the worst optimising

I'd say the game is poorly optimized all round, not just on AMD. I get 30-40 fps still in the city with a 1080 and with shadow distance on medium, shadow quality on high, everything else ultra, godrays off. 60fps every where else, but in the city it's just drops everywhere.

This looks like it will be an intriguing mod for Nvidia to showcase and I am glad to see that they are interacting with the community through modding. As others have said, I too am concerned about the optimization of this mod on an already poorly optimized game.

Apperently they made the mod on Beth.net on august 26 and its updated today for download.
