| Title says it all, I've been using the merge patch utility for FNV, but thought about giving Wyre Bash a try. Is it worth it, or is it best to stick to combining mods with the former? _________________ “We can only see a short distance ahead, but we can see plenty there that needs to be done.” - Alan Turning

| I use FNVplugin, mostly to merge individual weapon mods into packs. It's very easy to use. _________________ A secret message to the chosen ones:- Spoiler:

| Use both? Wrye Bash (which is actually Flash for Fallout) combines all small, merge-able mods into a bashed patch automatically, and also sorts your leveled lists and stuff out for you.
Then you use merge plugin standalone to combine other mods, and generally avoid mods with MCM and heavy scripts. |

| yeah you should to that because maybe your game is super modded and another tip if you want to decrease your load order size uninstall the mods with esp file that you do not need. and I think that wrye flash is just merging the conflicted between esp's _________________ |

| I use this thing called "Merge Plugins" and it works really well, I had to use it when New Vegas started replacing people with giant red exclamation marks and pink mountains which my friend and I titled "The LSD Mountains" _________________ |

| I've used the FNV Plugin Utility for a long time now and it's great. It's tricky to set up but once you get it working it's totally worth it. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/39655/? _________________ |

| Thanks for the input everyone. Sorry if it sounded like I butchered my original post. I came back from party late last night, and was rather ditzy. XD
I'll give the Standalone tool a try. _________________ “We can only see a short distance ahead, but we can see plenty there that needs to be done.” - Alan Turning

| I prefer to merge them manually in FNVEdit. It requires a certain amount of time based on mod's complexitiy, but at least I know it is properly merged and won't cause any problems. For example, I used Merge Plugins for five diff. Millenia's custom weapons that I use, and then I wasn't able to load the merged plugin in GECK, even though it worked just fine in-game. Then I spend an hour merging them manually and the GECK finally opened it.
I'd have no problem teaching you how to do that. |
