| Welcome to my first topic post. Ironically it is where I spend a decent amount of time on this site As you can deduce from the title, I want to adjust two helmet parts so they wouldn't clip with my character's face when worn, but after moving them and hitting ''Apply'' in Nifskope, and then checking them in the game, they disappear from my PC's face. Unfortunately I haven't managed to find anything useful on google about this, surprisingly. Nifskope can cause a ton of trial and error when you're trying to find the solution to such, seemingly simple things, so I'm searching here for some help in order to save me from potential frustration. I hope you guys, or gals, can help me. |

| I'm speaking from limited experience in adjusting meshes and making haphazard mashups.
But I've found...in my experience, that after making adjustments in Nifskope if I import them into BodySlide and then export (renaming it of course so it doesn't overwrite the original, just incase) as a nif. That tends to solve most problems (this is in my experience, your mileage may vary).
If that doesn't work, could you show (us) some screenshots of your process? So that we might be able to narrow down the issue. (: _________________ Currently Away tending to family medical needs. Will be on sporadically to say, "Hi" and flick pieces of pepperoni at everyone.- Fun Random Fact(s):
I enjoy repeating numbers, specifically 11. I also enjoy numbers appearing in a sequence such as in Month/Day/Year. IE: 02/04/06 and so on. This makes November Eleventh, Two Thousand Eleven my favorite day to date when written short as 11/11/11. Despite my near unhealthy obsession with numbers...I loathed Math in my school years.

| Thank you for your reply.
I'm doing this for New Vegas, so I'm not sure if BodySlide works for that game.
There isn't much to show, to be honest...I open the helmet mesh in the program, right-click the part I want to move, click ''Transform'', then ''Edit''... a window opens with settings that move the mesh and I slightly move it backwards. After that I click ''Accept'' so the window closes. But in order for the changes to show in-game, I have to right-click on the part again, and click on ''Apply'', then save the mesh. It's really a standard procedure when moving mesh parts. Except with this one, the parts disappear in the game after being moved, for some reason. |
