So over the years that I have played PC games I have been plagued with crashing and it has always been an extreme pet hate for me. Fallout is especially bad for it I might add, and though I try and be a strong independent man I try and resolve fixes for these crashes that I have by myself, but low and behold there comes a time where I must rush to the forums and find a fix.

Now about a week ago I was having severe problems with Fallout 3 crashing for different reasons on different occasions. I managed to fix them all with helpful advice bar one annoying crash where every time I saved I would crash, I tried every fix in the book: changing the .Ini, turning off all auto saves only making hard saves, using CASM etc. then after three painful days of reckoning I saw a post of a man who had a fix, when I saw it I thought "No way that would work, its so stupid" I even laughed at it but in the comment section there were several people saying "By golly man it worked it was crazy but it worked!.

The fix people is this. Start up the game (with auto saves off) Immediately pull out your fat man or whatever device you can to blow yourself up with aim at the floor and fire! When you die you will re-spawn and whatever was corrupting the save will vanish! Now don't ask me how it works but believe me it somehow does.

Does this work with Fallout New Vegas also?

That's a nice fix but I don't use casm I use Extended Save Manager for FO3 never experience a corrupt save yet I have allot of saves.What is weird my game run 50 fps stable and I still get stutter with the stutter remover and game companion 2.4 full screen mod.

Hey mate if you are experiencing some stutter issues you could always try removing any ENB's if you have them or even just turning down your resolution which helps a lot. Have you tried those?
