I really need help guys. A week ago my NV was running fine. Now it crashes every 2-10 minutes.

I also have the latest versions of NV stutter remover, 4GB enabler, NVAC, most of Drag's old VGU armor pack resources as well as his newest stuff, Weapon Animation Replacers, Cpt.Rex's melee animation replacers, and the Unified Hud Project.

I have no idea why this is happening. I think it may be Nevada skies, because I think around the time I installed it this started happening, or maybe CASM. I have CASM set to save every 2 minutes, so I think that may have caused some of the crashes. I'm also playing in windowed mode, video settings set to high.
Please Help!

Have you added any mods since a week ago. Go up your list and uncheck five and keep doing that till it stops crashing. Then when it stops crashing figure which of the five it is. Then fix that mod or just dont use it. Thats what I do, simple trial and error, yes it is a pain but it is fail safe.

this is just a idea but maybe you need to disable fook or project nevade or download a patch for the two becuase that can and will cause game crashing bugs when trying to load something from those to mods such as two items that are named ak-74 that and move these

I appreciate the help guys, but I ended up just uninstalling my game, and now it works fine. I'm in the process of reinstalling all of my mods, so If i find out what exactly caused it, I'll post here again.

You sound like me, when it gets to hard, i just say fuck it and do a nice clean re-install and do all my mods in one night.

One thing though, install your mods in groups of five and make sure you game lunches. You don't want to be fifty mods in and then not be able to open your game.

i'm having the same problem but with 10 to 25 minutes of game

Absolutely agree with hitman. NVAC is a really good thing, try it. But, as for me, I dont like 4gb enabler. I just use Explorer Suite.

4gb enabler i don't use ... i don't remember the reason why ^^

I find 4GB enabler usefull, but i did not see my game ever go over 3.2GB when ever it gets somwhere around that it lags like hell or crashes not every time tho, have you tried using Fallout configurator program ??? It helps my game to run smothly and reduces the crashes basicaly you can tweek the game as you like in more easyer and friendlier user interface.

Now the only problem with the game I have is that It crashes in certain areas the same spot nearly every time, so I always save when I get close to the crash zone and load just before I enter it that kind of fixes the problem.

I know you've already uninstalled your game but, I going to go head and put what I think the problem is
If you've watched Gopher's youtube videos, I remember him saying that everytime you make a merge patch it would need to go at the bottom of your load order or else you would get crashes everytime you start it up,maybe this will save you in the future?
Oh and one more thing, I'd make a new merge patch every time you install a new mod and delete the old one.

Yeah but that involves using FNVEdit which is not an easy process and there is no guarantee that this will fix the problem it might make more problems in fact, but its worth a try, when ever I want to use F3EDIT or FNVEDIT I do a full back up of the game which is very anoing process for me cos I have to back up 108GB of data, I have so mutch S**T in my Fallout game that whenever something goes wrong Im like ripping my hair out swearing and shouting "Why? Why God Dammit", basicaly When there is a problem with my game Im back to square one

one cause for this may be enb changing, I had this happen to me a lot and had no idea what was causing it...apparently it has something to do with renderinfo in the game folder where the prefs and saves are, I also had this happen when I didn't delete all the old enb files before putting in a new one, it's just a thought but might help some so I'm leaving it out here...
to specify, it would crash anytime something were to load,or even after a few mins on it's own

it may be all mods you have on or if you play on a save alot it could have alot memory on it mamby try that

I might know a fix now after slothjelly mentioned save files it reminded me of corrupted save that I had couple of times before I was always loading from that one and everytime it crashed betwen 5-10 mins all i did was loaded save file that was around week old, I hope you did more saves than one cos I did that before and learned my lesson that Fallout 3 or NV can be a b***h when it comes to crashes, freezes, corrupted files and other issues.

Have you tried using LOOT to check to your load order and look for for errors. I was having lots of issues in Skyrim when piling on the mods. I'm about to build a new FONV mod list and try out FNVEdit to get the crashyness down.

I use BOSS to check my load order but I don't know if that makes a difference. It's a pain but, test each mod individually and keep tabs on which causes the shutdowns. If you have too many mods (I have 150+ mods installed right now), you might need to have a clean install and re-install the other mods. Use FNVEdit before doing a format so you can find which mods conflict with one another and create a merged patch to fix these conflicts. Hope this helps!

Load up FNVEdit, then let it load all your active mods. If it receives an error, it is likely due to load order and some plugins missing some master files. I usually screw up the load order when I install mods but I use FNVEdit to specify the location.
