| So the semester is finally over and I plan on rewarding myself by finally playing Fallout 4 and I am coming to you folks to tell me what mods you think would compliment the first play-through. I realize that many of you might say to play without mods the first time around and I'm still mulling that over but I figured I'd get some suggestions anyway.
A little about my general mod interests:
-Quest mods. -Game mechanics mods. -Roleplay mods (although I'm not a hardcore mod player... just not my thing). -Companion mods (providing they serve a purpose and don't nullify most gun fights). -Light visual mods... I'm not one to care about 4k textures and skimpy outfits. No offense to those who do. Again, just not my thing.
Give me your input folks, if you please. I look forward to your suggestions.

| Don't think you understand how far the game is with modding , quest mods are like almost non existent (and those who exist are fairly bad) and I suggest you just get most stuff from the nexus top files as it all can compliment a first playthrough (not gonna be many tbh as it's not that replayable ) Good luck and have fun |

| I appreciate it. I know mods are few and far between at this point, but I wasn't aware if there were any must have mods that fix major annoyances, since people tend to be pretty quick about fixing those. _________________ “The worst thing that could possibly happen to anybody would be to not be used for anything by anybody. | lets hope the modding scene get filled with good stuff soon although some mods available are still pretty good _________________ "Day by day, Humanity is falling! World by world, we are loosing! | I disagree with Lukaboot. The modding on Fallout 4 has come along well and there are plenty of great mods. Now we're starting to see little gems here and there created with the GECK. I have almost 100 mods active and I'm starting to get concerned because the GECK mod isn't even in full swing yet.
Some of the essential ones i think are the:
-easy hacking -easy lockpicking (you don't have to go through the mini game over and over again) -balance fusion core drain (allows you to control the core and ap drain of power armor) -legendary modification (add legendary mods onto equipment, comes with various options) -more where that came from (adds more songs to diamond city radio) -binary speech checks -enclave x-02 (if you're not satisfied with the armor stats you can mod it with fo4 edit, its weaker then x-01) -place anywhere -no negative affinity -armorsmith extended -concealed armor -Dazzerfongs MK-14
That's just naming a few but there's a decent bit. The game mechanic mods are starting to show up here and there now that people are working with the CK, one game made a mod where you can set up 10 settlements wherever you want.
Luka is right though, there isn't much in quest mods to speak of but I'm sure they'll come. |

| Never said that there are no 'good mods' in general I only mentioned quest mods and suggested to look trough top files as some people prefer not to cheat on game mechanics like fusion core drain, hacking and lockpicking. |
