| All is in the title : I think that Beth (I say Beth because at this time no one else does have ressource enough for animation or havoc 64 to work on this kind of things) should add rideable wild horses in the future. Importing the mechanic of Skyrim to FO4. Now the question of how to get one : Beth already released traps and cages for wild animals but I was thinking about something else linked to a new perk, stealth and VATS : use of a lasso in VATS to capture the animal, be a real cowboy. | I like this idea. I love wondering and exploring skyrim on horseback. I think it could fit fallout just fine. I'm also curious as to what they might look like after radiation exposure. We could have two-headed hairless horses with glowing parts. ... Or if horses don't fit maybe something else like a tamed Yao Guai ... or feral ghoul (they run on all fours sometimes) |

| It's not as simple as that... The skelewtons in F4 are very different from the skeletons in Skyrim, and withotu proper animation tools, there is no way to have them work in f4 correctly.. I just hope someone buys the new x64 havok license and has the brillant idea of posting a megabox file of it somewhere having that tool costing THOUSANDS is ridicolous. _________________ Only the Dead have seen the end of War

Maybe with the new Skyrim 2016 being released we could use that animation provided of course someone can access the animations in the new engine. Not much easier but if lucky the animation and skeleton would be compatible. _________________ |

| It's certainly an interesting idea, and definitely a feature I would enjoying seeing implemented in some Fallout game, although I'd imagine it'd be rather difficult. They just had to accidentally have horses in the All Roads novel and peak my interest. Not lore friendly, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want it. _________________

| I've been saying that we've needed Horses since FNV, but the map was always peoples counter argument, being that the cell structure and loading capabilities were too much of a limitation. I'm still surprised no horses or motorcycles have been added to FO4 at this point, but the creation kit is still relatively new I suppose. I was part of a team working with a modeling and animation artist for horses in FO4 until I unfortunately had to exit the process due to time constraints. We had been planning before it's initial release to get started and have it done by the one year release anniversary, but after my initial reaction to FO4 I'm rather glad I departed the project. (I would link the site, but the mod is still in production and I don't want to disrupt the remaining team) I remember that someone had made a horse skeleton for the FNV Geck, and using a horse model from RDR I was going to apply it to that, but never actually got around to trying it. I did get a first person horse working that was mount & ride-able with the same model, and viewable with a Brahmins functions in third person, but I left FNV shortly after and never passed along my 3 in 1 combo mod. Let's hope FO4 has a brighter future for people who are tired of walking and running, and want to snipe and hunt from horseback. _________________ Check Me Out @ The Nexus: SKYZOO |

| The problem is, in the fallout lore horses are extinct. Not saying that a mod couldnt introduce them, but I doubt we would ever see them in a vanilla fallout. Not that ridable horses are a bad idea, they are just lore breaking. However many great mods are. |

| Great idea, I imagine them as a something akin to a Yao Guai with missing hair and some saddle made from scraps. |

| Bethesda should of added vehicles or like you said rideable creatures (horses), their excuse is always oh the engine does not allow you to do so F***OFF in FO3 simple vehicles and ridable creatures done, FNV very good attempt of rideable vehicles even flying ones very playable, and in FO4 someone already did rideable sentybot chair and hover bike, the bike need some better animations but, its done so Bethesda who the F you are trying to bull shit, you have massive world space not the biggest but its big enough for some vehicles or horses, you lazy bastards JK JK I Love you Bethesda Now where the f**k is FO5 |

| I think that the biggest problem comes from their skeleton. This material has never been used before but i am not an expert to pretend it. But they have the tool to work it, we have not. I don't know if it's hard to do but it should not be that impossible if it's a part of your job. I am very curious about their real motivations about not doing this or other essential animations. | Horses would be a great addition, it isn't lore friendly but it'd fit into the game well enough. If it was done well and wasn't too clunky I think it could work. |
