Am i the only one here that hate caesar legion

No, you aren't the only person that hates them. I hate both the NCR and the Legion.

Most people hate Caesar's Legion for obvious reasons.
A lot of people hate the NCR for slightly less obvious reasons.
I always sided with myself in Fallout: New Vegas.

O god you are not the only one. See i can respect caeser's legion to certain aspects but, above all else, i down right hate the idiot. He brought tribes together in a horrific way but, if ceasar was smart he would bring them together and push a better world then what happened 200 years ago. The man was persuasive and cunning, all the qualities a strong leader has. He could have done so much for the mojave and arizona but, instead shit's on the idea of getting out of this dark age. I will give you this, it gave everyone (except womem, sorry) an even laying field with what rank they held. Gave the opportunities to rise above. Other than that, they are pieces of shit.

The only way you can get along with them is being an evil character, or even liking them you need to be relatable, and being relatable to Caesars legion is by slaughtering or enslaving random people.

Most FNV players tend to play the good guy role so they naturally see the legion as the enemy.

Shit, even if I play an evil character I hate the bastards. They rape, they pillage, they torture, they burn. They're barbarians and the first time I saw them I opened fire.

Ehhh, I would never side with them but I don't HATE them.

What you have to keep in mind, and I'm just playing devil's advocate here, is that once Caesar's conquered the NCR, he fully plans to reforming the legion into a more stable and civilian-oriented nation. He's firmly in the "breaking eggs" part of his omelette-making.

@MickyJim Thing is, he could've done that earlier. Like, way earlier. It's not like his men wouldn't have listened to him if he was like "Hey, maybe we shouldn't just rape/enslave/kill every woman we see". Maybe he couldn't change everything about the Legion, it's probably way too bad for that by FNV, but he could definitely change something.

Well, from what he says, he wants Vegas for his capital. Also, by conquering the NCR, his idea is that some NCR values (organised, centralised and nationalistic government, standing, professional army, organised, industrious communities, etc) will filter into the Legion, which until that point has been nomadic, slave-driven and completely centred around him.

He references Hegel's idea of dialectics, that two ideas (in this case represented by the NCR and the Legion) will clash before settling on the synthesis of the two ideas. He basically wants his Legion government grafted onto the cosmopolitan and educated concepts of California.

Again, I'm not rooting for him. Between the two I'm way more in the NCR camp (although my canon ending is independent Vegas) and I don't think the problem with the NCR is ideological, it's that it's been allowed to corrupt itself and expand in an unsustainable way.

I get the feeling, though, that Caesar just has a grudge against the NCR leadership, probably stemming from the tension between the Followers, who raised him, and the NCR government.
