There's so much negativity about this stuff, people just keep on complaining. It sounds like good DLC! One that let's you build and customize robotic companions to fit your needs in a similar fashion to power armor along with a small questline (letting you be a mad scientist for only $10), a DLC that let's you capture enemies and force them to fight for your amusement in galdiatorial combat (letting you be an evil Roman overlord for only $5), and a massive DLC centered around one of the most popular companions in a brand new land with new factions/enemies/loot and an epic story (largest landmass Behtesda has introduced in a DLC chalk full of content only $25). You can get all of this along with whatever other DLC Bethesda hasn't even announced yet for $30 if you get the season pass before March 1st. Without even considering whatever else they have planned after these three DLCs and only looking at what they've announced, this is already worth it, you can't lose! This is incredibly generous, especially considering the day and age we live in where most companies use DLC to milk out every penny from the consumer while giving minimal content in return. What Bethesda is offering is incredibly generous and practically unheard of. Yet somehow people are still managing to complain about this. It blows my mind. If people want to be bitter about it go ahead and not buy it, no one is forcing you. I, however, am incredibly excited to see what Bethesda has to offer.

People complain because we all know that Bethesda will get gready and charge us $10 just for a DLC to make robots when someone will make a mod about that and it will be free.
Wow sounds so amazing, build robots and build even more robots just for $10, and you still can have only one companion, must buy. I can have that for free on Nexus if someone makes it.
The second one, make an arena and have deathclaws and other kill each other, WOW, sounds bloody amazing, have creatures and people kill each other just for $5, i really dont give two shits about that, if i dont care about settlements then how will an arena help me? I can make an arena in the base game free of charge, FREE.
I dont need to pay $5 to get an extra two things in my settlements when i dont even care about them.

I'm kind of the side of @"VeteranAlpha96", Bethesda announced $60 of dlc with those 3 we are already at $45 (not speaking the fact that it will be the same price in euro). The first two are in my opinion mod-DLC, what I mean is that if modders had the tools Bethesda promise those two would have been already covered by mods (maybe that's why the modding tools are not out yet ? ) The third one seems cool, a little point lookout stylish but we don't know anything about it (new guns ? long ? short ? storyline). Right now I'm still asking myself if I should get the season pass before the 1st march or if I should wait for the steam sale in a year.

I have to say I only care for the Far Harbor DLC. I mean we basically already have a defense robot mod out, so it's basically already covered. The Mechanist, isn't that the same dude that fought the Antagonizer in NV? Or did the courier decide to be an evil robot overlord?
To me the workshop one sounds like they'll add the Steam Workshop if we're willing to pay for it. Part of me thinks I should've gotten the Season Pass when I got the game, cause I'm broke till next month because I purchased a new computer.

Automatron - seems interesting with its advertised 100s of mods and changeable limbs and what not, VeteranAlpha makes a good case with the free aspect, but at the same time i can only recall one bot mod for new vegas buildable bots and that wasn't really that deep customization wise even after geck was released other robot mods were nifscope textures and the like. Im really just hoping we get the option of make a robo assualtron wife and look at the ungodly abomination we have created and decide either to keep it alive to have our husband/wife back or kill it to let them rest.
Wasteland workshop-@Veteran alpha is 100% right if you dont care for the settlement aspect of the game why bother , sounds like fallout 4 hearthstone to me . tho them nixi tubes
Far Harbor- advertised as the largest landmass for a addon they've ever created , dont matter how big it is if 75% of the time im getting bothered by dlc preston about saving settlements , but im willing to give it a chance because im getting a almost point look out feeling to it. The higher level gear make it sounds like its a broken steel type of dlc to me.
But what do i know im just a platypus

People make mods for these concepts, but they're surface level at best. What Bathesda is offering is an expansion of these ideas and offering a professionally done exploration of these ideas. Customization, functionality, quality. Do I wanna build a generic sentry bot that follows me around? Or do I want a custom sentry bot saddled with packs given a kickass paint job installed with massive laser weapons and a custom voice. I pick the latter personally, even if it does cost me $10. Not only that, but it will also open the door to mods based on the new functions in the DLC that expand the concept even further. I don't care if it used to be a mod from Skyrim or New Vegas, if Bethesda can offer it even bigger and better I'll take it.

I am very pleased that progress will be made with the soon to be released Creation Kit/GECK. I am also intrigued by what dynamics will be added and changed with the new survival mode. Based on what I have seen with the DLC descriptions, I both like these additions but feel like quest line expansion is being left out. I have no doubt that these smaller scale DLC's will further expand upon the gameplay experience as well as increasing the possible avenues for modding. I would like some DLC's that focus on the story itself and not just new additions. There are so many possibilities for quest based DLC within the region and I feel as if its going to be held back for some time until these smaller DLC packs will be released. Perhaps these smaller packs are to prime the functions for the future expansions? I do like what I am seeing, however I am waiting for more information. Nonetheless I better purchase that season pass before its price increases in March.

Far Harbor....Hmmm. Set off the coast of Maine...Double Hmmm.
I can only hope that we get a Stephen King and/or Film Noir Nick Valentine case set in the Fallout Universe. That could be really fun, especially if the place is truly the biggest Landmass Expansion that they've ever done.
I bought Pipboy mega bundle...basically got everything...so whatevs....hopefully they'll be fun.

I feel the survival should've been incorporated in the game from the beginning. But better late than never right?

What I find odd is the apparent criticism and negativity towards the DLC. It doesn't look that bad and given Bethesda's reputation with DLC I don't expect anything below mediocre.

Im actually interested in this Far Harbor.....Is it going to be in another state? Or a small island or something somewhere near The Commonwealth?
As far as the robot it seems pretty cool looking. The arena thingy woudln't really be my thing but i'll buy it anyway with the season pass

I'm very psyched for them, even though the mods have been very kinds to me thus far. But the Pit fighting arenas and Buildable robot companions look epic!

I'm going to assume that Bethesda will probably release 2 DLC that will add more to the gameplay and 1 DLC that will add a new area per wave. Also I don't get the argument that Bethesda shouldn't make DLC that could essentially be made by modders using the GECK. That's what the tools are for, to create anything. You've seen modders create new items, new areas, and add their own questlines. You might as well be saying Bethesda should just not make DLC.

They should do that, I really do think that the wasteland workshop is pointless and can be easily made by modders.

It's all nice and dandy, but i'm still here waiting for GECK. I think main reason why Beth is delaying it is if they would release it sooner than dlc, the dlc would be pointless cause mod creators would create same/similar things eg. sale drops. Of all dlc mentioned above only "Point Lookout 2" sound interesting.

@Aztec i disagree, while modders have made some great things they are mostly based on what Beth made in the first place. I have much more faith in a propper robot companion from Beth than any mod. Why? Because modders are very good at expanding on what Beth has already made, but Beth still makes the best core product in my opinion.
