Hey guys so I did some searching around the forums nobody is talking about the Beta yet Have any of you had problems with it?
From other people's reports on other sites, apparently it fixes a bunch of stuff but NPCs don't respawn, so if you go in a raider camp and kill them, they never respawn. it remains empty forevs this is disheartening as every ghoul, mutant, robot and human npcs will be gone forever and the wasteland would remain one big empty sandbox...
I haven't noticed the bug myself but many people said they've tested it intensively.
another bug was supposedly longer load times between exterior/interior
about 2 days ago I've heard of the despawing bug so I opted out of the beta, which I had been using very well and safe up to that point, and then my lagging intensified tremedously. the whole game is so lag-stuttering that I can't even ... I fell off a fucking bridge, lost 2 hours of gameplay cause I don't have autosave on
more than that, it seems now, opted out of the beta, that the game is loading so much slower than it ever did.
so idk a lot of the stuff people say happens in the beta to me happens outside the beta I've never noticed the no-respawn bug myself but I'm sure they'd have patched it up till now, right?
What do you guys think? What's your experience? Are you running the beta?
I've had constant crashes during the explorations with the beta patch, so I've stopped participating in beta. Feeling like it's more safe to wait till they fix everything.

Good to hear that D. I dont notice that but honestly i havent even play that much. The most thing that boders me is that they remove the mod funktion in the first patch. Thats a disaster! I dont know but i am getting more and more disapointed with bethesdea. Perhaps they should get their hands of and let the modders work it out. Its sad to pay so much money for a game and the updates are buggier then before.

That's the main reason why I haven't tried it yet. Of course, it's still a Beta and all but it seems to give more trouble than what it's worth. As Cruz said, perhaps they should let the modders fix it.

I've used mods well with the Beta patch. I've been doing it manually, in the patches.ini file just copy/pasted the title of the .esp there, one under the other. and I swear it ran smoother with the beta than without it I'll have to tough it out somehow we'll see cheers
back when i played fallout 4 on this crap laptop my game actually got more stable when using the beta for around one week with 62 active mods and no conflicts, my crashes stopped pretty much completely and my load times oddly got better instead of waiting 30 minutes in an elevator i would speed through them in a whopping 10 minutes
and i never noticed the bug with enemies not re spawning as i'd farm raiders sometimes and got no issues

patches.ini??? i only have a plugin.ini where i put the mod names manualy. have to set it eveytime to read only and then after i save it, otherwise when you start the game it will delete everything. what a crap.

Hrm I am still using the Beta and no problems.. I have a 48 hour respawn mod for all monsters so I haven't really noticed that yet.
But the Beta made my game a lot more stable in all aspects, that with the New NVIDIA driver update I just got the lag disappears entirely except in places where I constructed about 20+ fires that are each creating moving shadows because they are fires..... and then its only about 5 fps...
but I never used a mod manager and always entered everything manually and checked some things in FO4edit.

I am running the current BETA patch with, at this time, 47 mods; 39 of them active. NPCs in various areas my character has visited do respawn after roughly three days; with exceptions.
The only major bug I have encountered is within Home Base in Diamond City. After scrapping the junk from Home Base I am unable to place objects (beds, storage, etc) on the concrete floor. Placing objects on the wood covering the mud works properly.

Pretty sure they(Beth) said the update is supposed to resolve the length of load times. I haven't updated to Beta yet, though.

Yep, tried 1.3 Load times are zippy now. I guess I can now un-Sym-link my SSD for FO4.

Something I do when I'm troubleshooting is after I remove mods that I'm working on, I'll uninstall the game from steam. Everything else stays in place and on my computer it goes very fast. Then once the game has installed again, I add the mods that I've been troubleshooting and I have no problem at all. It seems like when removing a mod (or possibly beta) that by uninstalling the game it resets everything to re-add the mods in question or new ones in their place. This isn't something I recommend for slower computers though if it takes a long time to install the game.

No problems here. When I playing however I am not using the new particles effects, as they can make the game stutter sometimes (what a suprise nvidia lol). Other than that its just been improved performance for me.

It works fine for me, no problems whatsoever. I really like how loading times are now cut in half and the overall performance improvement, not by a lot, but still, it's good.
