So, basically I've found a few mods I really like and decided to add to my Fallout 4 game. This includes .esp files. Now these mods were working fine up until the latest Fallout 4 patch and now my game crashes to desktop. It starts up like normal, works fine for a bit, and then randomly crashes to desktop. And I can't use fast travel at all without it crashing. I tried the newest script extender and it still crashes. I guess I could deactivate all my mods, but honestly that seems a bit unfair. I should be able to play the game without any problems. After all I paid for it. I know that Fallout 3 and New Vegas have script extender plugins that prevent CTD, but as far as I know there doesn't seem to be one for Fallout 4. Any of you guys having this problem? Better yet, does anyone have some kind of solution?

first:
make a list of the mods you have, then we can se if there are any obvious conflicts.
i use several esp`s myself and never get a ctd so it is quite possible, but everything is not always going to be compatible

ps: you paid for the game, not the mods. if the game itself works fine without them then you got what you paid for (thats said in a friendly way)

Alright I'll make a list down below. And while it's true I didn't pay for the mods, I can't help, but wonder why this problem never happened before until the latest patch. But you're right. I guess Bethesda isn't really held accountable for this.

Okay, sorry about adding to the wrong section. Anyway I disable all of my mods and I'm still getting CTD. I don't understand it. I guess it's possible the update messed with my game, but how do I fix it then? I also did add alot of Retextures to my games. Retextures of armor and weapons, could that be what's causing it? I've noticed that it likes to crash around the same area my character is traveling when he tries to go towards Diamond City or the lower part of the map (The top part of the map being where Vault 111 and Sanctuary is.).

thats strange, but not uncommon. You might have some bad files in your textures/meshes etc
try removing everything you have modded inn, i know its a hassle but it would clean upp your game and make way for future mods aswell

and is your graphic driver updated?

edit: did you start a new game after disabling all your mods? if not then try that, the game might crash if you load a save which used to have mods in it

You may want to consider removing everything out of the data directory and doing an integrity check on steam. This will clean up any issues with the main game files. Also, I would suggest using a mod manager (such as Mod Organizer) to add in your mods. It has been reported that the latest patch has messed up mods, however those that have been running the game via a mod manager (launcher) have not been reporting problems (at least not that I have seen anywhere..).
