I was just randomly thinking today, and I wondered if there is going to be more than 5 Super Mutant Behemoths in FO4. The one in the E3 demo was pretty tough, and was in some sort of industrial district. What are you guys thoughts? Should there be more than 5 Super Mutant Behemoths in FO4?

| Super Mutant Behemoths should be rare spawns instead of just being in 5 locations.
Instead the behemoths in the 5 locations should all be unique behemoths.
I mean seriously, who would want to lose the thrills of killing em'? _________________ -

I think they should be less "Rare" like they were in Fallout 3 and at least become "Uncommon" once you reach a certain level or are in a certain part of the map.

| I think they'll be a great deal more common this time around. They also seem to be smaller than the ones in Fallout 3. What I want to know is where the mutants in Boston came from. Did they move from the Capital Wasteland? Remnants of the Master's Army that trekked across the country? Rampant experiments of the institute? _________________ "They asked me how well I understood theoretical physics. I said I had a theoretical degree in physics. They said welcome aboard."

Well, the Behemoths in FO3 were only as big as they were because of that particular strain of FEV (the one from Vault 87). They were also 150+ years old which allowed them to grow so big. My guess is that the ones in FO4 are somewhere in between the ages of Overlords and the FO3 Behemoths, which is why they look big, but not quite the hulking bullet sponges from FO3. Unless there was another FEV Vault in the area of the Commonwealth, then the mutants in FO4 are probably still from Vault 87, looking to convert more humans with the virus...or eat them... _________________

Looks like they have different sizes now.

Personally I think they should be reserved for rare/significant moments. If you come across 20+ of them, then its just another enemy type, only bigger.

I feel as if they should reserve the behemoth spawning for just certain points in the game, maybe a boss battle at the end of a quest, or something. You should be able to find them in the wasteland as well, like scattered in more than 5 places, and also maybe spawning rarely at random places and times. Once you reach a certain level though, of course.

I loved the restricted numbers of behemoths in FNV and FO3, it made them feel like legendary creatures rather than just super mutants 2.0 as vixen was saying.

Honestly, they should be regarded as a "rare" encounter, so I wouldn't want to see one every ten minutes roaming the wastes, maybe have some special triggers for it to spawn or something like that. Maybe also have some half decent gear attached to them as well, as they usually just had a load of junk on them, and even though some of the stuff they had was half decent at lower levels, when I faced them the majority of the time, I was a high level character and had no need for ammo and caps. _________________ Writer on the Fallout Intensive Project, which aims to bring the Fallout story to the UK.Bug Tester, Interior Creator, Designer and Decorator on the Frontier Mod

| Make them a very very rare encounter.
I don't wanna see a Super Mutant Raiding party with 1 Behemoth always to back them up. _________________ soup soup soup soup

See... I liked the Behemoths in fallout 3, because it added to the whole sense of impending doom. But I dont think they would work in Fallout 4. Not to say I wouldnt like to see them, but more along the lines I doubt they would feel as scary as they were in 3. Same with Cazadors. Actually. You know what? Dont put Cazadors in the games ever again. I will legit go against a behemoth before I go against a bunch of those little fuckers. And dont get me started on Cazaclaws. Dear god...Imagine a Cazaclaw Behemoth!

Its strange because I think I ran into only one super behemoth in FO3, is that normal? _________________ "Fear is the true opiate of combat."

I'm more interested in that naked giant Super-mutant in the concept art. He looks almost intelligent and possibly..friendly? He almost reminds me of those abominations from Mothership Zeta _________________

Seeing a lot of leaked footage on FO4 today, but no behemoth yet. Some people loving what they see, some not so much. I love the footage so far. _________________
