A voiced character could limit they're possibility to do it. Imagine you pick one dialogue option and your character sounds educated and well taught, and then you choose another and suddenly they say something along the lines of "what yellow screen do?". That'd take me outta the game really quick the sudden shift from smart to brain dead dumb all in one conversation. so unless they have a unique piece of low intelligence dialogue for EVERY option then I don't think it would work well.
