Hey all,
As some of you know, in the process of creating a companion mod for New Vegas and I'm attempting to weave the companion's story into one of the vanilla quests.
The quest in particular: Why Can't We Be Friends?
In the vanilla game, Samuel Cooke/Philip Lem ask you to convince Papa Khan to join forces with the Powder Gangers in the vault 19. After gettting Khan to agree, you report back to Samuel Cooke/Philip Lem and they appear as if they're getting ready to leave the Vault and head to Red Rock Canyon. I waited a few days outside of the Vault, walked back in and there was no one to be found. No Cooke or Lem, and none of the Escaped Convicts were present.
So, I decided to head to Red Rock Canyon and see if they ended up there -- as would make sense given that they've joined forces. They weren't there either. I waited a week in-game and still they weren't there. I tried to use to console to move them to my player character, but Cooke/Lem don't appear.
Basically, they mysteriously disappear after the quest is completed. This not only breaks immersion, it makes it impossible to implement the plans I had for the companion because the NPCs are nowhere to be found.
I was wondering if there was some cut content for those particular NPCs?
Can anyone help me find out if this is the case?
Or, does anyone else experience the same problem with the NPCs disappearing?
