| I personally dislike the Fallout 4's approach to add a new mechanic of vats. It seems to be just a bullet time with targeting which is appalling: either have a bullet time system in which you can fully control the movement of the PC or pause fully to take your time switching between enemies, have a laugh if you paused when they were in a hilarious position, enjoy the feeling of stopping time, etc. I feel that in an effort to innovate the game they destroyed their homage to the first games which were turn based. All of this after taking their time to establish the fact that V.A.T.S "lets you pause for a moment" ( youtube.com/watch?v=KxFuxi1VRvo ). What are your oppinions? Do you like, hate or are indifferent to this change? |

| My opinion is, I'm going to wait until I play the game before I condemn it or aspects of it. For all we know, there could be a perk or something that causes VATS to fully pause. |

| I'd rather vats was taken out myself, not going to be using it in fallout 4 _________________ I want to dress in your insecurities. |

| I actually like it....it gives me the feeling i gotta hurry up and choose wisely instead just watching at a frozen screen how a deathclaw is going to rip my face off. Instead it will probably happen in slow motion! Still there might be a option in the settings how slow you want to put VATS at or a perk like Tes said _________________ |

| Actually i didn't really use VATS because it stopped time. It was too immersion breaking to me. Of course it was cool but i usually just manually shot everyone. So im really glad they changed it to only slow time. _________________ |

| i don't know, but the ability to stop time is kinda silly, slow time in the other way is pretty common |

| I use VATS for videos because of dramatic camera angles, but in good, old-fashioned gameplay, I just straight-up shoot stuff. |

| I dont know about it but i think it makes V.A.T.S more immersive as slows down your perception of time allowing you to carefully aim at body parts instead of freezing time like in FO3 and FNV. _________________ |

| I guess we'll find out come release time. But honestly I didn't notice that FO4 vats just slowed time as I never really used it in FO3 and New Vegas LOL. |

| When I first started playing FO3 I used V.A.T.S. After awhile it seemed too easy to target and eliminate enemies so I stopped using it. Since then I've only been using my own reflexes to aim at a target much as I have in other games. _________________ i7 4790k @ 4Ghz, 4.4 Turbo Asus Z97-AR Custom Liquid Cooling Patriot 16 GB (4 x 8 GB) 2133 @ 11-11-11-27 eVGA GTX Titan X @ Stock Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD - O/S Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD - Storage Seasonic X-1250 Power Supply Thermaltake Core X9 Chassis Samsung UD590 3840 x 2160 Windows 7 Ultimate x64

| I rarely used V.A.T.S. because there was like a 30% chance to hit beyond 8 feet and I was better off just using iron sights. |

| My attitude towards it is that I'm indifferent, as I probably won't use V.A.T.S. that often anyway. I mean I rarely, and I mean very rarely, use it at all now. Its not because I feel its immersion breaking or anything, but more so because I kind of forget that it exists. Yeah, see when I'm in the middle of a fight, whether its against feral ghouls, raiders, death claws or those evil desipicable and vile cazadores 'Hit the V key' isn't something that really goes through my head. More like, shoot them is what goes through it. Except for death claws and cazadores, then what goes through my head is run away and then shoot.
So I imagine that I will be playing fallout 4 with that same method, a method which doesn't include the use of V.A.T.S. Now I'll admit, there will be points where it will and in the past would have come in handy and if I were smarter, I would use it/would've used it at those points, but me not smart. Sadly me is caveman, so me just smack things with club, say unga bunga, and hope for the best. |

| Keen to utilise it now. Wasn't a fan of V.A.T.S in FO3&NV because I thought freezing time was a little immersion breaking, and OP, but now it's more of a on your feet choice now. Feels more realistic in my opinion. _________________ "It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity." Albert Einstein

| I like how vats is now in Fallout 4 because in fnv and fo3 it looked 1d but in fo4 it looks 3d, since it not entirely frozen |

| I feel like V.A.T.S is just a Bethesda tweaked bullet time. I actually really liked the look of it a E3 and actually want to use it. _________________ |
