the best fallout game is fnv IMO but i recently got into f03 and the graphics on there are A anyway as i said before its fnv

Hands down Fallout 3. It is the most immersive. Has the best story. Totally redefines the horror science fiction genre and actually feels like a survival game. It's dark and comedic at the same time yet simple enough to go back to again and again.

the mojave is kinda empty without mods. i mean, in fallout you always got attacked by something in 2-3 mins max.

Fallout New Vegas with gunetwork's mods is the awesome fallout i can say

As for me the best fallout game is a Fallout 2.
FoNV and Fo3 good too but they dont have such atmosphere like in Fallout 2

Considering how similar the two most recent games are (mainly by being on the same engine), I would have to say Fallout New Vegas, solely due to the inclusion of Hardcore Mode.

It's hard to choose, in the question of history I prefer fallout 3, about the graphics, mods and ambiance I prefer new vegas.

Fallout 1 & 2 are superior to both Fallout 3 & NV. But my fav is Fallout 2 since it's so big and so much stuff to do.

Completely vanilla i would have to say Fallout 1, just the climatic ending with the master, nothing beats sneaking into the Cathedral and Military Base impersonating a child of the cathedral. But from what we've seen of Fallout 4 that may become my favourite.

When comparing FO1 vs. FO2, the latter is much more developed than the previous. FO2 felt more 'complete' than FO1. It seemed as if the story was thought out a bit more and therefore captivated my interest for a much longer time.

When comparing FO3 to FO4, Each game has its own particular highs and lows. The story for FO:NV is a bit more compelling than FO3. However, FO3's landscape, despite being slightly smaller, appeals more to me than FO:NV. I could go on further comparing each game yet I think you all get the gist that like both games and feel they are both on even ground when taking in the big picture, per se.

For reference, I played 3 and New Vegas before 1 and 2, but New Vegas was my favorite. 1 and 2 were fun but I had already been spoiled with the whole 3D first person thing by the time I played them, and isometric games don't appeal to me all too much (unless we're talking about a RTS)

for the old fallout games i loved fallout 2 and but my overall favorite is fallout 3 the feeling of loneliness and how it made you feel truly lost when you first left megaton its the main reason im looking forward to fallout 4

Of the current Fallout games, Fallout New Vegas, I simply enjoy this one more than any of the others Out of all Fallout games...I'm gonna have to say 4 even though it hasn't been released yet

I have to say 3 in my opinion. Maybe that's nostalgia but that was the first Fallout game I played and I loved every minute of it. I can't play it for the life of me nowadays because it has less mods than NV and it's dated/crashes for me often, but with TTW it's nice to play it through NV with NV mods.

I'm a rabid Fallout New Vegas fan, but I have to say the best is Fallout 1.

The atmosphere, the lore, the beginning of this wonderful series; it is just the one I hold in the highest regard because without it, I might not have my number one favorite game series to fanboy over.

for me the best fallout game is fallout 2

My favorite fallout is part 3.
Mostly because there's more locations to explore and a better story line.
Not to mention,the designs were pretty cool.

In my opinion Fallout 3 had a better story line and better environment/landscape but lacked on some things Fallout NV did like weapon mods and iron sights. Overall though Fallout 3 would get my vote.

Fallout 2 was my favorite because of the weird but realistic world of the game, soundtrack and story

I'm gonna be "That Guy" and say Fallout 3. Better atmosphere, story, and more immersive to be. NV just looks like a cartoon and the other's well, I just can't seem to get into them and I ussually play retro games alot.
