| Always guns, love the feeling on the bolt action sniper rifles when you slide the bolt and reload another round: Pull the trigger and the bullet hit the target on the head, sure death; Slide the bolt, the case flies away, close the bolt and ready for another shot.
Also, what explosive or energy weapon does that "Ping" the This Machine (aka M1 Garand) does when you reload it? Ahhh, mechanical sounds... _________________ |

| Although the advent of energy weapons supposedly makes firearms an archaic weapon I would still opt for a gun. They are just more satisfying to use and have a variety of designs. The downside of course is that there is a larger variety of calibers whereas the energy weapons use ECP, MFC and EC. I also felt that the energy weapons weren't represented well since their performance was often measly in comparison to firearms. If Fallout 4 makes them appear more menacing and deadlier then I will definitely use them instead of the guns available. In the end it comes down to whats fun to shoot and in most scenarios the guns fill that criteria. Explosives are a whole other story and I use them to supplement the use of guns and laser weapons. |

| Well, in the Fallout Universe, Energy Weapons were meant to replace projectile firearms. That never happened, mostly due to the great war. Honestly, I prefer Guns all the way. You've got a caliber for every situation you come across. Energy weapons, I imagine, would also be pretty volatile. Shoot a guy's magazine, and it'll probably break and spill the ammunition. Shoot a guy's energy cell, and it may just explode - especially the atomic ones. That, and honestly, the energy weapons look pretty damn stupid. Like, totally impractical. As for explosives, I've never liked how fallout handles them. That looks to be fixed in Fallout 4 however, thank god. AND YOU CANT USE YOUR DYNAMIC HIGH SPEED OPERATOR SKILLS WITH ENERGY WEAPONS, CAN YOU? [/joke][/notajoke] |

| I hold a strong abhorrence against Energy Weapons. They are abominations and while they aren't for me, they are for some i suppose Needless to say, i enjoy my guns. |

| Guns were a primary to me before energy weapons became a thing, such as District 9 and what-not. I can see the benefits of energy weaponry, which of course lasers are known to hit your opponents fast however, plasma remains superior because by ideal, it deals more damage than lasers but the projectiles are slow. This we know. As for energy weapons, to me it can be used both as gun and explosives.
When I use explosives, it's mostly a saboteur operation or more likely just charge into the enemy's base with a handy grenade launcher, using missiles for enemy armor or aircraft, or for the sheer hell of it, level their base with artillery, hellfire missiles, mortars, etc. However, it is difficult to rely on explosives when you need someone alive say for instance a hostage rescue or your allies and companions are present in the battlefield, you end up hitting them by accident, which is why I save the explosives for the last.
When it comes to guns, I prefer the stealth variant. Especially when it comes to black ops or espionage into enemy territory. I don't find guns reliable when it comes to heavy armored units, the anti-material rifle works nice for that kind of operation, but I mostly try to take these guys from behind, saving more ammunition for my arsenal. Especially how guns almost had little effect on those aliens and their overshields from Mothership Zeta, is the reason why I outdated guns, don't use them very often and if I ever do, it would be stealth weapons of a advanced tech era.
Which is why I always use energy weapons in the field of combat. Lasers and plasma have always been advanced elements of science, and I feel works best against armored units of any factor. However when it comes to energy weapons, I always like mine custom built, my own style, my own template for their overall look. I can't say I'm a fan of the 50's style of energy weapons. Science has always been both helpful, and dangerous, paving the path to be used as possible weapons of war, which many scientists decline and do not wish for their research to be used in such a way for such weaponry to be used for, and I respect their reasons for their decline. However I use the weapons for defensive purposes and necessarily for the right thing. Not to oppress the people with, but to be used against such oppressors of any group. Power can corrupt should a majority rely on it's dependence in which I should feel not necessarily such power should be used in the hands of such, especially when it comes to humanity, they can inevitably with that caliber of power, pave the way to their own disaster. Though I believe energy weapons have many possibilities ranging from just lasers and plasma, but also magnetic, microwave, dark matter, this is why energy weapons certainly knows no bounds when it comes to warfare. It is forever expanding, it's evolution. From the Star Wars franchise up to now, what did we accomplish so far in the making of future weapons?
I for one didn't find the energy weapons in Fallout reliable so that's why I always make my own. Their own sounds too. I want the sort of Michael Bay feel to using energy weapons. To me, energy weapons ease up the competition. It's basically a win-win for whoever sees benefits in using them. An energetic M-16, or an energetic AK-47? Fuck yeah, I'm down for both... _________________ "Some men just want to watch the world burn." -Alfred Pennyworth**Screenshot story-arcs on hiatus until further notice**

| It's just something so much more satisfying about a bullet hitting it's mark in games plus the unique sounds they make. Energy weapons just feel overpowered and dull most of the time with an occasional color change mainly red blue or green. |

| I would use energy weapons more often if ammo wasn't such a drag to find
also i was always super clumsy with explosives so i just stick to guns personally _________________ - Link to my small mod showcase channel:

| A Scoped .308 Hunting Rifle, a .45-70 Gov't Hunting Revolver, and A Broad Machete is my Favorite Loadout
Personally, I like to keep a long distance from my enemies, and i feel that Energy Weapons lack that function, although i do keep some plasma grenades for Crowd Control _________________ |

| Normally guns, when I'm stronger than my enemies I like using pistols and melee weapons up close and personal.
Then when it's more like DUST or Dead Money on insane difficulty, there's nothing like setting up good explosives traps. A few good tricks are rigging a corridor or even a entire small building and running through it, and blowing it up when the enemies enter. _________________ A secret message to the chosen ones:- Spoiler:
