| So...for some reason when i aim using right mouse click it doesn't let fire the gun..But when i use left alt for aiming it fires like normal..I've tried to troubleshoot the problem but even in vanilla FNV it still doesn't work...I really hope the wizards of Fallout(Gamebryo) here can solve this problem of mine... |

| Do you get the recoil from the weapon even though it isn't firing anything, and does it still consume ammo while pulling the trigger? _________________ - Accelerator Info:

| no..it does not FIRE at all...I'm honestly at a loss there..Because that right-mouse aiming is pretty much guaranteed TO WORK...but in my case...it failed me...not even changing mouse fix it...which to be honest few months ago when i played FNV it still worked... |

| Solution One: - Quote :
- "What is odd is that I usually set it up so that the attack/fire button is the R-Alt and the block/aim is the M button. This will not work but if I reverse it so the attack/fire button is the M button and the block/aim button is the R-Alt, it works fine. For some reason it won't let me program the block/aim as anything but either the L-Alt or R-Alt. Also, how do I disable Steam's overlay?"
Solution Two: - Quote :
- Hi there,. i had the same problem and just could not figure out what the problem was,. but i got it fixxed,... my mouse is a "Roccat kone XTD" (perhabs you also have a roccat mouse ?)... Anyways,. it somehow worked for me when i changed all the settings in my mouse driver back to default,. even though nothing related to this was ever changed in my settings it worked again!.. i hope this will help you out,. even though its over a year later
Okay so these are the top posts ive found on the issue. Try these out and let us know if it works or if we need to keep hunting. |

| It could be also that you've accidentally rebound your mouse buttons somehow. - Quote :
- When you go into Settings and Control Mapping, click "Device" above Exit etc. and it will switch to mouse controls. This will let you map the mouse clicks.

| The mouse settings in game The mouse has some configuration that need to be done so that the game can see the mouse properly and work (provided it is a newer one or has worked before if so forget this option) Game files have been corrupted .. verify cache in Steam and try again.
If there are no other mods installed ( clean game) with default settings the mouse should always work unless it is one of those mice that require setup ( button mapping). Mods however with scripts can some times mess these up. Happened to me once a long time ago. I knew it was a mod because I used the same mouse and tried it on a clean / verified cache/ game. Then the hard part. I had to go through and find the mod that did it. Unfortunately they all worked fine and continued to work find for the rest of that time ( before I refreshed the install and mods) Never did have that problem again. _________________ |
