| So it was just announced today, via Polygon.com, that a book titled, "The Art of Fallout 4", will be released on December 22nd. Now one the greatest things about fallout, is the concept art book because it gives ideas and inspiration to modders. It look sick and i cannot wait to get my hands on it. Thoughts? |

| One of my favorite parts of gaming is seeing how they were made. having concept art that shows how the world was envisioned and how the atmosphere should feel makes me enjoy games alot more. that probably sounds a little weird but I love to draw so its really inspiring and interesting to me |

| I think it's cool. The only thing I hate about concept art is that sometimes the final draft is worse than the original drawing. _________________ |

I totally agree. I've seen a lot of instances where the work in progress was much cooler/aesthetically interesting than what they ended up going with. On topic, though, the FO4 artbook preview has some great shots of their synths and they look creepy as hell! |

Any word on whether as you shoot the synthes their armour plating comes off revealing that metal/skeleton framework inside? That'd be a really cool touch. _________________ "You're born small and weak, and you die small and weak, what you look like in between is up to you." |

| I've already got the book preorded. Given that Concept Art is what I want to do with my life, and what I'm going to school for, I buy a ton of art books. Also that it's the art book for Fallout 4. |

| At roughly 0:50 in the video it shows the protagonist shooting off part of a enemy's armor so I would think it is quite possible. - FunkyWins wrote:

On topic, just pre-ordered the art book. I will be very happy when it arrives as I'm very anxiously to see the various types of artwork, other than shown at E3, they've produced. _________________ i7 4790k @ 4Ghz, 4.4 Turbo Asus Z97-AR Custom Liquid Cooling Patriot 16 GB (4 x 8 GB) 2133 @ 11-11-11-27 eVGA GTX Titan X @ Stock Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD - O/S Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD - Storage Seasonic X-1250 Power Supply Thermaltake Core X9 Chassis Samsung UD590 3840 x 2160 Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Looks pretty creepy to me, I really like how its not a seamless body. Being able to shoot panels off a synth's body would be a nice touch from just seeing a health bar go down. _________________ |

| I really enjoy taking a look at the concept art and making of books. They provide an interesting perspective of the artists ideas, styles and are a good source of artistic inspiration. These books show the kinds of considerations that the art teams made as well as how far the development went when it came to character and environmental concepts. Overall its just a cool experience to take a glimpse of what the artists were thinking of and conceptualized. Even the Star Wars concept art books were my favorites because they show the possibilities of the universe and alternate realities. Its nice to observe the art style and appreciate it for what it is. |
