I know the games not out yet...sadly, but i was thinking about how cool it would be if fallout 4 had a easy way to port Fallout newvegas mods into to fallout 4 using some kind of tool..it might be possible. But at the same time it might just be me hoping that there is a possibility some of my favorite new Vegas mods can come with me. But i just wanted to ask basically if anyone felt the same, i know it runs on a modified version of the creation engine so maybe there is hope?

I know nothing about modding, but running on a new engine I think it would be hard if not damn near impossible. I know a lot of mod makers have stopped making NV mods in preparation for F4. So I'm pretty sure we will see some of the more major mods eventually put up for download.

Well, perhaps ENB mods might be needed for person style, but retexture mods?

Hmm, i can see enbs maybe changing colors and what not..And as far as re-texture mods, possibly but that might also be for personal taste, or those people who like making 4k textures for everything which is cool for them ha.

Here's an early good sample of what to expect. Dirty Weasel interviews mod creator Zealotlee. Zealotlee is actually making some anticipated advance work for FO4. The video will show very raw concepts of his mod that can supposedly be ported. Quite interesting as he even already made his weapon mod to be "modular", just like what's shown in the trailers. FO4 was also mentioned to be using Skyrim's game engine (albeit more tweaked & more polished), therefore, it's probably safe to say that any anticipated work can be based off that.

It seems like it would be no different from trying to convert a fallout mod to Skyrim. You can probably move over the meshes and convert items, armour and weapons but no quest or base mods would work.
