I was just thinking about some of the mods that will come with Fallout 4 releasing and am wondering your thoughts on Horror mods for Fallout 4. I recently saw the leaked footage from Gamescon and how the ghouls will move and I think there will be alot of cool ideas for a horror setting in this game! What do you all think? Anyone have any other thoughts of this?

I think with people having already made Slient Hill and Resident Evil mods for Fallout 3/NV it's a given that there will be horror mods to come. Not my cup of tea, personally, but it's always great to see what kind of things people can come up with and how they accomplish what they do so I'm looking forward to it.

i think it has great potential for a future 28 days later styled mod i really liked that movie and the zombies act quiet similar to the feral ghouls of fallout 4 it seems

I like horror stuff that usually involves zombies, like Resident Evil for example is one of my game series. That said, those feral ghouls, though I didn't see much of them from trailer and such, but what little I have seen they are back and creepier than ever. In FO3 going down into the metro tunnels was something I dreaded (but also looked forward to a little) just because of how dark they were and hearing the feral ghouls screaming in the darkness and not knowing where they might be. I was a little disappointed that NV didn't have much of this in it. So I'm hoping that Bethesda capitalized on their newer freakier ghouls to make some places you can venture into rather terrifying with low lighting and lots of ghouls.

I am also looking forward to what modders could do, that spookhouse mod was definitely pretty scarey and I hope devilswish does make a mod like it for FO4, because it'd be very interesting to see what he can do with that games stuff.

Horror Stuff has place within Fallout 4 not just mods itself, the entire setting is based on a horrifying concept which is brought to light with the charred skeletons of children amongst other unsavoury elements.

I can definitely see some good Horror mods being made with the new dismembering ghouls and mad Synthetics wandering Boston.

I imagine modding for Fallout 4 will be amazing! Too bad I'll have to wait until I can afford a newer Rig to play 4. But hopefully there'll be some kick ass mods out by then

@IRORIEH Well you have a while before the GECK or Construction Kit comes out for 4 but hopefully someone will know how to make some good mods without it!

There was a silent hill mod for new Vegas but it was a bit buggy, and if I remember rightly there was a mod for fallout 3 that made the dunwhich building a lot spookier

Dust Survival Simulator, whilst not conventionally a "horror" mod, does make the game far more tense and objectively scarier.
