| So i got the idea that i wanted to change the Death Music in fallout to the Metal Gear Death Music, Is it as simple as downloading the sound clip, changing the format to whatever fallout uses (mp3 maybe i dunno) finding the vanilla sound and just renaming the MGS to the same and replacing it? Just wanted to clarify in order to stop me messing something up. Thanks in advance _________________ - My Achievements:

| Yes, it is MP3 and yes, it should be that simple. I know that's how it is for the theme song, at least. As the death music is called from deeper within the game, there might be more to it than that, but I want to say I remember seeing the sound files for that in \data\music\special, but I could be wrong. |

| Here's what i would recommend since your using it for your own use and selling or anything. Download this on nexus http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/48707/?. Once download rename the Music to whatever the name of the death replacer is and copy and paste it where the death replacer file is. once done it will overwrite the file and it should work.
Remember do not sell this as a mod for i will be disappointed. _________________ Through the roads we walk, it is the lessons that make us Never Be Afraid

| There we have it, based on that mod it's \sound\fx\mus\mus_death.ogg
Just put whatever you want there and run Archive Invalidation and you're golden.

| Thanks, yeah is it for my own use, tbh i don't even know how to set it up as a mod so there's no worry of me selling it as a mod. _________________ - My Achievements:

| Create one. What that means is simply that you have nothing overriding it yet. Just like you won't see models and textures for vanilla stuff because they're in the BSA's. Just create the folders like that and put your substitute file in place. That's why archive invalidation is necessary, it will edit a file that the game reads telling it to use your new version instead of the vanilla one packaged in the game's BSA files. _________________ |

| Congrats on taking control of your own game and installing your very own custom mod made entirely by yourself. _________________ |

| Thanks to this post I went crazy and replaced tons of music on my game. I replaced the intro load up music with Imagine Dragons Radioactive, I can finally stand listening to the radio on my pip boy because I replaced all the songs on both Radio New Vegas and Galaxy News Radio to songs I actually like and can listen to! Until now I would have the radio off because you can only listen to let's go sunning and jingle jangle so many times! But it was as easy as just renaming your new songs to the ones in the file folder. I just made a back up folder with the original files to be safe. Love my game even more now! Thanks for inspiring me! _________________ |
