| So in light of fallout 4 i would like to know your opinions on the best mod manager for fallout 3 & New vegas and which one you'll be using for Fo4, when i first got it, it seemed FOMM was the popular choice, but now it seems MO has been geting a lot of praise. So i was wondering which to use and if NMM is even worth it. _________________ - My Achievements:

| I used NMM for a week or two when I started adding mods to my game, I quickly realized MO was the way to go though, it's a much more powerful tool, I'd highly recommend using it. _________________ |

| I'm fairly sure the Nexus will adapt NMM for Fallout Four, but from what I have seen of NMM for New Vegas, use NMM. I'm not sure for Fallout 3 since it won't work on my computer, but I'm sure it's around the same thing as NMM! Happy modding! |

| nmm is good, its what i started out with and at the time was all i needed. but then i checked out mo and it was such a more powerful tool then nmm and once you use it you wont be going back to nmm. as for fallout 4, i assume mo will be just fine for fallout 4 as for nmm im sure they will update it but to what extend i dont know so _________________ |

| nmm is good for beginners to learn the ropes of modding MO is in my opinion is a lot better has many features that nmm doesn't have and makes modding a whole lot faster and easier if you know what you're doing. _________________ |

| I can only recommend Wrye Flash, since that's the only one that will run on my computer. It's not the most user-friendly, but I believe it has some features you won't find in other mod managers, like bashed patches and an editor for FALLOUT.INI. You can also launch various tools like FO3/FNV/TES5Edit, the GECK, NifSkope, other mod managers like FOMM, and can easily toggle FOSE/NVSE with one click. I don't think it has a BSA packer/unpacker, but that's hardly a complaint when you consider everything else it has. - Main Window:
- INI Editor:
- Screenshot Manager:
I believe Mod Organizer may also be a good choice, but as I've said before, I've only used Wrye Flash, so I can't really recommend anything else. _________________ |

| I use FOMM version 0.13.21. Haven't needed nor wanted any other Fallout Manager since it does everything I need it to do. _________________ i7 4790k @ 4Ghz, 4.4 Turbo Asus Z97-AR Custom Liquid Cooling Patriot 16 GB (4 x 8 GB) 2133 @ 11-11-11-27 eVGA GTX Titan X @ Stock Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD - O/S Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD - Storage Seasonic X-1250 Power Supply Thermaltake Core X9 Chassis Samsung UD590 3840 x 2160 Windows 7 Ultimate x64

| Mod Organizer is what I use. I recommend that one, it is simple and works fine for me. I have used it for Skyrim, FO3, and FONV and it worked for all of them perfectly. |

| I use MO. It is more advanced than NMM and is much more powerful. It's profile feature is very useful. I have a profile for TTW, Project Brazil, My main character, and testing profile. It has it's own built in ini editor that is very useful. NMM is still a very good program to use and there are people that prefer over MO, but if you're more experienced with modding Fallout and Skyrim, and want more features, I highly recommend it. _________________ Flickr | STEAM | NEXUS <--- Where you can connect with me |

| I like NMM it's nice when it doesn't crash when installing package files. _________________ Just an average PC gamer, who doesn't know what he's doing, as well as a Dank Meme Abuser! |

| I like using NMM for two reasons...it's simple and it works almost all the time. MO is a fantastic tool with a lot of functionality, but it does too much for a single program to handle IMHO...more complexity means more things can go wrong, either by user error or a bug in the program. It may be more cumbersome to use multiple tools, but I'm a very hands on user when it comes to modding my game...any program that takes some of my control away by automating functions is a negative. Specific tools for specific functions is an old-fashioned way of doing things, but a faster/bigger/fancier tool doesn't always mean it's better. I've never had a problem with NMM...but I see a lot of troubleshooting posts regarding MO. Just saying Generally, I'll d/l a mod manually...check its file structure to see where it's putting stuff...edit anything I want changed...sometimes I'll repack the assets into a bsa for testing & easy removal...re-zip the mod and install it with NMM or manually drop it in. All done with tools built for their specific purposes. No worries, no problems, all fun, all the time N~dles _________________ “Ignorance is curable, stupid is forever.” - Robert A. Heinlein |

| I personally use NMM ATM, but I think I'll be switching to MO whenever I do my next fresh install of New Vegas. BTW @rest_in_pepperoni you should add a poll to this topic. You don't have to for any reason, it's just my suggestion. _________________ - Can you figure it out?:

| MO is by far the best mod manager i've seen, before I used FOMM, I never did like NMM. Anyway, I highly recommend MO for anyone, it's a little bit hard to understand at first but you'll get by in no time, also Gopher has some very usefull tutorials on how to use MO. _________________ |

| Well NMM works fine for me plus it's quite simple so I guess I'll keep using it, except for the few crashes when it does multi-tasking (importing, extracting, installing, uninstalling, etc). Otherwise, its "reset archive invalidation" option really helps when install new textures and such instead of clicking 4 times . |

| IMO it is the FOMM (fallout mod manager) because I install manually everytime. I do not need auto installers for modding, nor do I want them. I'm not even a fan of FOMOD's at the end of the day, I extract them and install them manually too. _________________ Check Me Out @ The Nexus: SKYZOO |

| NMM in my opinion. It's just so simple and easy to use as in FOMM takes a bit longer. But you have to remember some things may work better with FOMM. _________________ Surviving the Wasteland. One shot at a time. |

| NMM is my choice, it's just way easier for me to do that 1 click download from their website. I gotta honestly admit I haven't tried anything else, but I have never been let down by NMM or anything, so I can recommend it. |
