While the hype train is proceeding at full speed towards the hype station that is Fallout 4's E3 showcase, I started to wonder what kind of character I'm going to play as for my first playthrough of the game. It's probably going to be my go-to knight-in-sour-armor that always makes good decisions, but can be a bit of a jerk to people, with my Tag skills being guns, repair, and explosives. My general playstyle would be approaching each situation carefully, laying mines, picking off one or two enemies, then going loud and gunning down the rest with superior firepower and positioning.

What is your favorite type of build/character, and what will you use for your first Fallout 4 playthrough?

I've always played the 'sneaky' type...stealth & silenced weapons have always been my tools. Once I pick up FO4 (probably shortly after the GECK & some DLCs for FO4 are released) I'll set to the task of upping all the gun damage globally and make it a requirement of survival to stay hidden. It's 'Primary Needs' with guns essentially, 2 - 3 hits at most will kill you. I might actually consider releasing my mod for FO4...but I'm not sure people would really dig it. I tend to die a lot with my mod activated in FO3 & FNV, but it makes you a more 'tactically minded' player.

So, yeah...I'll be recreating my stealthy sniper build...again

I'm more a fast type, I like to keep everything and the killing fast and smooth so I won't have to worry about anything but I also like to scavange a lot so I'm going to search for a house first!

I've got two favorite builds that I usually swap between. The first is basically the same as what noodles said, sneaky/sniper type. The other is a science/tech aficionado who only uses the highest of tech gear, and so mostly uses energy weaponry. Pewpewpew!

I kinda want to do something different for my first playthrough. I might go for a Powder Ganger build. Lead with explosives, revert to melee when those run out. I'll try to rock light armor and be a jerk to everyone. If that doesn't work, I'll do my regular sneaky gunslinger.

I'm not completely sure how exactly my final build will play out, but based on my past experience I have a solid idea.

My tag skills will most likely be Small Guns, Sneak, and Speech. Every situation I put myself in will be first handled with Speech. I'll talk my way out of it, keep people from being hurt, if I can. The fall back is to keep people from ever knowing I'm there. A whisper through the barren trees. If people are in my way or I'm unable to get past them I'll divide them into smaller groups and kill them one by one.

My Fallout and Elder Scrolls playstyles are really boring, and I should really try to mix it up.

I am just gonna pull a Big Guns build, unless of course they keep the unbalanced (IMO) Guns skill then I would either go sneak/explosives or energy.

Sneaking around scared to go out to far in the waste. {sneak, guns, Lockpick, Repair}

I'm sure I'll do my usual. A gun nut with high speech and barter!

I usually go for a lone sharpshooter. If I see something I want, I take it. If someone annoys me, they won't live to annoy anyone else. No companions for me, I'm all about patrolling a desolate wasteland

I would go for a female that can handle her self, ya know 6+ strength and perception, and very low luck and charisma. this should help in the long run up against the B.O.S, Enclave and or death claws.

I'll just take my time and go slow. Maybe go speech mostly, to see the dialogue choices. Sneak repair too, because they're handy.

Lol I always do that combo except I might change out Speech for Sneak every once in a while.

I'll go with Guns, speech, and lockpick. But for now we do not know how useful each skill is/isn't

I always act like and a hoarder on fallout games, so I keep all food items, ingredients, most junk items and just basically anything I think I will be able to use later, which includes all weapons because I use jury rigging to make loads of money. I'm guessing there'll be a player home of some sort which is were I'll keep my... collection . As for combat and things I basically just run in guns blazing, and get killed most of the time

I'll probably play the cowboy type, you know, revolvers, rifles, a duster, a nice looking hat, and some cool shades to add for the personality

I would play the humanist, the one who dreams about a new world, without war and suffering. And yet, uses these extremes to accomplish his goals. So morality for my character would be good.

Other than that, he'd be intelligent, smart, charismatic.

The type of character who is, ''All brains, no balls.''
