| i download the files, patched fallout 3 to 1.7, then i copy all the requested files into the F3FNV v.2.2.0b/Data/ open begin, install and says system cannot find the path specified. k, i extract the files manually, then the rename and delete bats are not working, what is this piece of garbage. tried the ones in the data folder, and says cannot find file. |

| This is detailed instruction from thevaultsproject and should work. - Spoiler:
Instructions: IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS OR THIS INSTALLATION WILL NOT WORK!
NOTE: "*" WITHOUT QUOTATIONS MEANS IT IS NOT NECESSARY UNLESS YOU HAVE THE ITEM
Requirements: Fallout 3 *Fallout 3 Operation: Anchorage *Fallout 3 The Pitt *Fallout 3 Broken Steel *Fallout 3 Point Lookout *Fallout 3 Mothership Zeta Fallout New Vegas Fallout Mod Manager
Step 1: Open the Fallout 3 directory. Open "Data" in the Fallout 3 directory. Once inside "Data", copy the following files: Fallout - MenuVoices.bsa Fallout - Meshes.bsa Fallout - Misc.bsa Fallout - Sound.bsa Fallout - Textures.bsa Fallout - Voices.bsa *Anchorage - Main.bsa *Anchorage - Sounds.bsa *ThePitt - Main.bsa *ThePitt - Sounds.bsa *BrokenSteel - Main.bsa *BrokenSteel - Sounds.bsa *PointLookout - Main.bsa *PointLookout - Sounds.bsa *Zeta - Main.bsa *Zeta - Sounds.bsa Open the F3FNV directory. Open "Data" in the F3FNV directory. Paste the copied items into this folder. Once the files have been pasted into this folder, proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Start the "_BEGIN" in the F3FNV directory. DO NOT EXIT; the window will automatically close once complete. Once the window has closed, proceed to the next step.
Step 3: Start the "__INSTALL" in the F3FNV directory. You will now be given a window that displays different instruction processes. Type the numbers located at the far left of each instruction process. The list is completely in order, so start from the top. Once you have completed all of the instruction processes, proceed to the next step.
Step 4: Open the F3FNV directory. Start the "_END" in the F3FNV directory. DO NOT EXIT; the window will automatically close once complete. Once the window has closed, proceed to the next step.
Step 5: Open the F3FNV directory. Open "Data" in the F3FNV directory. Open the Fallout New Vegas directory. Open "Data" in the Fallout New Vegas directory. Once inside "Data", paste everything. Do not overwrite any Fallout New Vegas files. Once the files have been pasted into this folder, proceed to the next step.
Step 6: Open Fallout Mod Manager. Before launching the game, put a check in the box for all new .esp and .esm files. Make sure the list looks like this: ESMs (MUST BE AT VERY TOP OF ALL ESMs): FalloutNV.esm Fallout3.esm Fallout3.esm Update.esm *Anchorage.esm *Anchorage.esm Update.esm *ThePitt.esm *ThePitt.esm Update.esm *BrokenSteel.esm *BrokenSteel.esm Update.esm *PointLookout.esm *PointLookout.esm Update.esm *Zeta.esm *Zeta.esm Update.esm ESPs (MUST BE AT VERY TOP OF ALL ESPs): Fallout3.esm Main.esp *Anchorage.esm Main.esp *ThePitt.esm Main.esp *BrokenSteel.esm Main.esp *PointLookout.esm Main.esp *Zeta.esm Main.esp Fallout New Vegas DLCs must be above Fallout 3 DLCs. Once the list looks like this, proceed to the next step.
Step 7: Start the "_END" in the F3FNV directory. DO NOT EXIT; the window will automatically close once complete. Once the window has closed, proceed to the next step.
Step 8: Launch Fallout New Vegas. You are now able and ready to play F3FNV.
Known Error: When extracting "Fallout - Textures.bsa", the window will say the extraction has been successful after about one second. It WAS NOT successful, it has had an error. Open the F3FNV directory. Open "Files" in the F3FNV directory. Once inside "Files", open "Data". Once inside "Data" open "Fallout - Textures.bsa". It should open up in Fallout Mod Manager. Once "Fallout - Textures.bsa" has been opened, click "Extract all". It should now ask you where you would like to extract. Browse to the F3FNV directory. Open "Files" Select "Data" Click "OK". Once the extraction is complete, the progress bar will disappear. After the progress bar has disappeared, you may exit Fallout Mod Manager. You have now fixed the error.
