Since I found out about Fallout 4 allowing the option to rename your weapons that you customize, I've been trying to come up with new names I would give my new, fully modified tools of the trade. What names are you thinking about giving your new weapons in Fallout 4, and for what base weapon?

Wait, you can name your weapons? That's awesome. I'd like to have a shotgun named "Tornado", after my dog who recently passed.

That's hard to answer without really knowing anything about the weapons that will be available or the actual customizations available. Some obvious names would be Bullet Hose, Zap, Zip, Swiss Cheese Maker, Big Stick, Betsy, Boomstick, Sting...

Yep. It's in the E3 video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ydnXvoYGBk) and you can first see it around 1:02 on the bottom. I'm sure Tornado would be proud you named a shotgun after him.

Well, to me it depends Bec if there is an option to go like a cowboy then i would chose revolvers and rifles and i would name them like Fast for the revolver and Furious for the Rifle
and if i am going to play like a bad ass using power armor (which i will) Then i would name my Laser /plasma Rifle The Eradicator ,and a sword would be The Reaper , a mini-gun would be The Shredder and a Fat-man Would be The Exterminator.
Also if you cant tell by now i am bad at naming staff

I like that idea for the revolvers, that's pretty cool.

Also, to make it easier for everyone, I've gone through the E3 video again and made a list of all the base weapons I saw:

Laser (Can be modded into a pistol, rifle, shotgun, or sniper)
Plasma (Again, can be modded into a pistol, rifle, shotgun, or sniper)
Pipe Gun (Once again, can be modded into a pistol, rifle, possibly shotgun, and sniper)
Hunting Rifle
Ripper
Super Sledge
Minigun
Combat Shotgun
Baseball Bat
Assault Rifle
Cyrolater (Ooh, it's new. Possibly can be modded into a pistol, rifle, shotgun, or sniper)
.44 Pistol

Laser Musket (May be modifiable from default Laser)

An Unnamed Submachinegun (Resembles the PPsh-41, may be 10mm SMG)

Nice list, I hope that Fallout 4 has at least a couple of real-world weapons though (for example the browning hi-power 9mm pistol in New Vegas), if not then I suppose mods will remedy that issue.

Well, never knew we could name our weapons until now either, thanks for posting this. I think I'll name my weapons after Latin words, that might make my weaponry pretty unique and cool sounding.

If I can make a automatic, assault shotgun minigun thing, I'll be sure to name it "Typhoon" or "Hurricane".

Fun fact: That gun is a reference to the .223 pistol from fallout which is in turn a reference to the movie Blade Runner. The pistol the main character uses in that movie is called the 2019 detective special, I think that's a really cool name for a futuristic modified revolver of some sort

My compact CQC AR would be called stinger my wasteland long gun wouldbe called reach out and kiss someone my shotgun Mad fury(theres a reference there) and my trusty pistol would be called the last resort

I will make a unique weapon called "Richard Balls" its a unique rock-it-launcher that will allow you to shoot anything and i mean anything even guns so you can shoot your gun with a gun, it will be the best joke weapon in the game if this exist or made

Nice, you can name guns in FO4? Going to spend a ton of hours myself thinking of names for weapons. Will probably base most of them off of other games I like to play or movies and lore from other franchises. This is exciting news.

I'll name my customized Bayonet Double Barrel Shotgun: "Inquisitor" and a customized Ripper :"Shredder"

And my shotgun like weapon: "Technoir"

@Bruce123 your is good too, btw i just came up with new one: a .44 Magnum called "Law" and use it to kill Raiders

My second favorite weapon (behind a sniper rifle) is a shotgun. I'll definitely be naming my shotgun "Grape Buster".

I'll definitely be making an SMG or some other automatic and name it "The Reaper"
