I'm not going to lie, I came here because I saw some pretty fantastic mods that came from here. I really like the mods I see that came from here but doubt I'll ever get to use them because I am, and probably won't be too active on this site. I don't have anything to offer to this site, and I'm not one for sucking up to people just because they create cool mods. Mod creators are people too, and I'm sure they are already pretty sick of people begging them for their mods.  

Anyway, i decided I might as well post atleast once.

Giving you a +1 for being straight forward with this introduction.

Welcome to GUN. Hopefully you'll change your mind about your level of activity here on this site...there are many great people to interact with. A lot people come here initially for the mods, but discover a great community to get involved with beyond the user created content. GUN is about the people...the mods are secondary

@kitarieluv - I can respect the honesty but in this case, it wasn't required.

Sucking up isn't expected of anyone, and furthermore... the majority of the downloads here are now public downloads, meaning anyone can register and have almost immediate access to some of the very best mods on this site.

The few 'exclusive' promoted mods are meant as a perk for people who contribute to the community. That can mean feedback on the mods they download, helping someone with a problem if you know the answer, or just finding a discussion about something you like and adding to it.

That's literally all it takes. No one expects a bunch of phony ass-kissing... if anything, that makes people like me less likely to vote in favor of promoting someone - not more.
