hi there gun community I would like to get popular opinion on cards for fallout 4...... wether the titan or the gtx980.....I was thinking if its anything like new vegas and the mods that will surely follow, it will like a card a lot of v- ram?  so im thinking maybe the titan with its 6gb of v-ram... what do u guys think?

4GB of VRAM is a rule of thumb when you want to go for performance. If getting a card with 6GB of VRAM is in your budget, go for it. Otherwise, 4GB of VRAM should be fine.

If I'm reading these prices right... I'd personally go for the GTX 980.

Don't put too much weight into these kinds of decisions until they lock down system requirements, optimization, etc.

Though, having said that... I imagine a 4GB+ card will suffice, especially something 970 or higher.

A regular GTX 980 stay away from nothing amazing about it. My First gen GTX Titan Signature mops the floor with it in gaming.

If you can get a first gen GTX Titan or GTX Titan Black for 350-500 jump all over that. A single GTX Titan will destroy Fallout 4 since we know it runs good and looks good on the next gen consoles.

Now if your going to go with a new gpu I would go with a Gigabyte G1 GTX 980 TI. Out performs a TitanX in most cases not to mention cheaper.

Seeing as how Bethesda develops most of their games for consoles nowadays, I would say it's not that big of an issue to go all out on a Titan.

But everyone already knows fallout 4 is going to be shit and it needs mods in order to be functional so in that case you're going to need 4 Titan Zs and at least 64 GB of RAM if you want to run at 40fps.

If you have the budget for a Titan x I wouldn't go that route, I'd personally pickup the 980Ti as it's a lot cheaper and performs very similar.

i got one myself and its a great card, titan is a bit overkill unless you wanna go into 4k gaming

As others have said, a 980 if you aren't rich but if you're willing to spend a lot go for a 980ti. And if you just won the lotto get a Titan x XD

Save your money and get a 980. It should be plenty. Bethesda games aren't known for being the most intense, graphically. I would invest a little more in a stronger CPU, since that is what is going to be doing most of the hard work until ENBs and hi-res texture mods come out.
