Yes the Enclave has been ground into dust, however it would be nice if we could still find some of that dust tucked away in some dark corner, an armor set or a note, some sort of easter egg that's been tucked away to be discovered.

The Enclave is important to the Fallout universe. They'll never be wiped out entirely. My cannibals find the Enclave officers delicious and would miss a part of their well rounded diet.

No faction can survive being wiped out twice.

In New Vegas I recall ED-E saying something about "Enclave Outposts in Chicago", so they most likely still exist... hopefully. It would be cool if they appeared again like they did in New Vegas, as a bunch of ragtag well-meaning underdogs ye.

The Enclave should be done,Nothing against them but being destroyed twice no way they can or should be able to come back after that.

Fallout new vegas had a quest about surviving Enclave soldiers, maybe they implement something like that in Fallout 4 as well?

They got destroyed in D.C. and California...there's no telling how much enclave is left, there's pretty much the rest of U.S. Territory and Annexed Canada and Alaska

It' be intresting to have a whole new take on the Enclave..something comparable to the Midwest Brotherhood vs The Brotherhood from all the other games. Why not have he option to join the Enclave? I mean I feel like in fallout games you are always told you can be a good guy or bad guy...but then there seems to be less options to really be a bad guy in some areas. That would fill that void nicely.
Although I would prefer the Midwestern Brotherhood to go up against local brother hood personally; but seeing as the MWBOS was only used in one game I doubt that has a high likely-hood. lol

I think the enclave should never come back, as they yes have been destroyed but also I really don't like them, they destroy the apocalyptic survival lore.

I agree with hunk, I'm sure remnants of the Enclave exist somewhere.

How can they destroy the lore when they've been a part of the series since Fallout 2? They're just about the same as the regular people in the "normal" Vault-Tec vaults, except they want to rebuild Pre-War America.
And yes, I do believe there are at least Remnants. What I don't understand is why they constantly go to war, wouldn't they be much better off building a secluded community/town where they only people who aren't infected by FEV? When that town would grow in time, it would expand and they could spread their influence.

Yah man, do not forget the Enclave and BOS was once the USA military. So I believe there would be splinter groups all over the country.
This was an old post I wrote on a similar topic. I think it explains the Enclave agenda.
old post I wrote on the Enclave and BOS..
I don't think the enclave wanted to restore the "old America", that was just the token line they use to rally others to their agenda. The agenda being to transform humanity into a Borg type race which would be more easily controlled by the master, or master computer. However they're many different factions of the Enclave and BOS some with less nefarious goals.

It freaking sucks that we had to take down the enclave during 3. But I'm pretty sure that bethesda will add the enclave cause on new vegas they had a really small role (spoilers) those old enclave memebers down in that secrete bunker. So atleast they gave them an appearance.

I think the enclave is really the "old america" guys...the borg-like part is that ( at least it seems in FO3 and FO2 ) they want to get rid earth of non-pure people ( mutants )...this hatred is displayed in 50's americans agains blacks, asians, spanish/mexicans and pretty much every kid of people who was not a White american for generations...so yeah i pretty much think the main goal Was to restore america since FO3's Computer President was merely an emergency substiture after they got their asses handed to them in Navarro and the Oil Rig.

No, that doesn't really make any sense to me whatsoever.
If they wanted to create a "master race", then why would they want to make them controlled slaves? That's extremely contradictory, and doesn't resemble 50's America at all, but rather a dystopia of frail humans controlled easily by a elite.
The Enclave's "purifying the human species" ideals seem to aim for a better world by evil manners, by simply dealing with the things that don't fit their ideals by eradicating them, instead of trying to cure the people of FEV. The difference is, if they had their way, afterwards the world would be a better place, but at the cost of plenty of suffering.
Just think about it, if the world ended tomorrow and you'd be faced with a world of mutants, cannibals, slavers, raiders and horrible deformations you'd hope every day that it's just a bad dream. Eventually you'd want to start forging something again from the ashes, and removing what's terrible. I mean, killing infected humans and ghouls is going a bit too far for me, but then again, these people are the only ones with pure DNA left, so they should definitely aim for a world where primarily they reproduce. This may seem harsh at first, but it saves so much suffering from several future generations of humans. It's a long term thing.
