I've been hearing a lot of different dates for when Fallout 4 is supposedly going to be realesed. My question to all of you is when do you think it will be released? I have seen reasons for why it won't be till 2016 but also I have seen valid reasons supported for it being released as early as October of this year. When do you think it will be released and why?

My money is on 2015, holiday at the latest, October at the soonest. Probably this Fall.

I agree. I don't know if you heard this but it is supposedly going to be released on October 23 which is the day the Great War began so I could defiantly see Bethesda doing that intentionally.

Todd Howard recently, after the release of Skyrim, said that he wants to shorten the time between announcement and release of games.
With the hype train's brakes out I personally think we're going to see an October 23, 2015 release date. Bethesda has a thing about using significant dates for release.

my guess would have to be on a holiday 2015 release or early 2016 release I just think oct release is too early but hopefully I'm wrong

Yeah, I'd definitely have my money on end of year/Christmas holidays this year. Speaking from a purely business point of view, games seem to sell a lot more copies if they're released around holiday season, because everybody decides that money ain't nothin' but a thang. Or something.

I don't really mind when it is released. as long as its in 2015, its been too long. I need a new fallout this year.

Until Bethesda themselves provide a release date (which they have not done)... you can safely ignore every date you come across. Those are generally estimates that allow retailers like GS to open up pre-orders.

Yeah I heard the same thing October 23 2015 I hope it comes out on this date. Other than that that's the only date I heard

Most of the dates that anyone but the publisher or developer push out are usually bogus, Until Bethesda actually states a release date, Then assume it's just like Half Life 3.

The October release date was bogus and got denied pretty quickly by Bethesda.The rumors that come from EB Games Italy (or whatever the place was called) are always false. If anyone had given out the release date, then they would probably be taken to court because they were most likely under an NDA.

Still, all likelihood is that it'll be this year.

Yep, November 10th, 2015 is the confirmed release and knowing Bethesda, they won't budge from that date even if they should. Skyrim is proof of that.

I feel sorry for Rise of the Tomb Raider. That game's out on the same day, but only on Xbox and in the States, with it releasing in other territories throughout the week. Fallout 4 is out on current-gen consoles and PC, and is out on the 10th worldwide.

Tomb Raider is going to have a bad week. How do they expect to sell against one of the biggest games of the year?
