| Hey ladies and gents, just wandering what you guys think of the Enclave. Up until now I've never really liked the Enclave, I've always liked the East Coast BoS best overall but I like to think the Enclave "that could have been" would have been great. In Fo3 when Autumn turns against Eden at Raven Rock he chooses a different path. Even Eden says he and Autumn never saw eye to eye on the use of FEV. Eden wants to "cleanse" the wasteland while Autumn wants to lead it. Autumn just wants to control the purifier so that locals will look to them for leadership, same as the BoS do. If only you could have joined the enclave in Fo3, it could have been great. I'd like to hear everyone else's two cents on the "evil" Enclave. _________________ May the mods be ever in your favor |

| I don't like the Enclave that much in Fallout 3. I do like their idea of cleansing the Capital Wastes but they still kill civilians. Killing civilians or trapping them and experimenting on them without their consent doesn't sound like good to me. And didn't they also kill you in Vault 83 and revive you later? Yeah. I wouldn't have given the Enclave a chance since they threatened the Lone Wanderer's father's science team AND kill one in the process. You were also given poison to poison the water. That's why I'd rather be with BoS.
BoS had decent intentions. Wanting to help kill the mutants and try helping the locals. Though the Outcasts are only searching for Pre-war technology, I still like them. Their armor looks pretty good. Anyways, back to the BoS. They aren't douchebags neither which is always good. |

| I've always thought they were really cool, the West coast anyways. Maybe it's the armor. I like the remnants most of all. Bunch of old, barrel-chested pipe-swingers just living out there final days in post-war society. They may seem old and decrepit, but they can slay bodies at the drop of a hat. That's all I have to say on behalf of the West coast.
East coast is 'all right' in my book. I don't like that they were made out to be the bad guys. Most people just don't see things the way they do. Not that I condone the killing of innocent people or anything. They just needed a change in leadership. I suppose it's too late for that now.

| They were cooler in FO2 to be honest. FO3's enclave just didnt have the same impact. Yes ok they were the ultimate evil in FO2 but you couldn't help but respect and sometimes fear them, FO3 they didnt have the same intimidation. Granted after the events of FO2 they do not have the same strength but still. |

| I think they are bunch of techdriven fascist that wear powerarmor, Dick Richardson clearly states that everyone is a mutie and impure human, and that only Enclave are true remnants of human kind the last "pure" humans. I wouldn't mind siding with them just to have an option to be a dick to everyone in wasteland, although i never really played as bad guy in any fallout game before ^^. |

| Sheesh all the Enclave hate.
I like the Enclave, and I don't think that they are as evil as everyone thinks they are. Their ultimate goal is to restore America and the world to its former glory, if that means wiping out a pile of people, so be it. Not everything can be done by shaking hands. They recieve a lot of flak because of how they do things, but remember that the entirety of North America at the very least has been carpet bombed with Nukes, and the Enclave is trying to restore government, prosperity and freedom to the States. Now just because they're underhanded doesn't mean they're wrong. If the world was to come back to some sort of functioning place to live, do you think they're be a place for supermutants or ghouls? I don't think so, it'd be too uncomfortable for people and there's not really a working relationship I can see working in the long run with those groups. Maybe they could handle things better, but not like there's any laws for them to follow or properly enforce.
If they Enclave had a solid leader it would be in better hands, but even the Regular Brotherhood of Steel would rather sit by and watch the world hurt itself and collect technology than get involved, at least the Enclave has made the choice to get involved and try to effect change. At some point the Enclave and the NCR are going to have to come to some kind of arrangement as the Enclave is the Former US Army. So it's going to be a fight, or their going to integrate into the NCR. The Ultimate enemy in F03 FNV and other Fallout games aren't the Enclave or the Legion, it's the desolate place the world is. The U.S. cannot survive on their own with collecting old goods, economy and farms need to be established. The Enclave has the Technology and the Soliders and the Enclave has the proper governement.
That is all sweet America. |

| I like the Enclave it kinda bugs me that you never get a chance to join them in fallout 3 I may be the only one hoping for this but I hope the Enclave plays a big role in Fallout 4 and you actually get the chance to join them. _________________ "IF YOU AINT FIRST YOUR LAST" - Ricky Bobby |

| The Enclave is trying to do something good the wrong way. That statement may seem a little confusing but so is the Enclaves goals. The goals the Enclave seem to have is restoring America to the way it used to be. They promise peace, safety, and a better tomorrow. However to achieve these goals they have slaughtered innocents and experimented on people with horrible things such as the FEV which can make super mutants. They also strong arm their way into political matters and point the blame at others. When something can help them, they take it, no matter the cost. The brotherhood seems to do a few things similarly such as forcefully take places that are strategic or will help them and their agenda, but they seem to care about the locals and not just their personal gain. So, my final thoughts are that the Enclave started out with good intentions but quickly turned corrupt and power hungry and they stopped caring about who they hurt as long as it helped them and their plans. That in my opinion makes them evil. |

about who they hurt as long as it helped them and their plans. That in my opinion makes them evil. . The Enclave ultimate goal, is to control everyone. Not to restore the U.S., but to implement a tyrannical order. Most of the Enclave are probably so compartmentalized, they think they're doing good when most don't even know what the real US stood for, which was Liberty. _________________ "Run! Go! | I haven't liked the Enclave ever since viewing the trailer for Fallout 2 ( I think ) where they murdered an entire vault upon their opening. Buncha scumbags if you ask me. |

That's very true, I never looked at it that way. So it kind of seems like they are living out a fallacy in a way because they may believe they are doing the right thing and they may tell themselves over and over that they are doing good but in reality they are trying to control everyone instead. That's a very interesting thought. Thank you for making me think a little lol. |

| Thank you for your kind words 19Eccho. This was an old post I wrote on the Enclave and BOS..
I don't think the enclave wanted to restore the "old America", that was just the token line they use to rally others to their agenda. The agenda being to transform humanity into a Borg type race which would be more easily controlled by the master, or master computer. However they're many different factions of the Enclave and BOS some with less nefarious goals.

| Remember, colonel autumn was in control of the Enclave's human soldiers, and those human soldiers were the ones gunning people down. All robots (sentrybots, eyebots, etc...) were controlled by president Eden, whose plane didn't involve gunning people down.
The end slides for siding with Eden really confused me, because i assumed that the virus would do something like exclusively destroy mutated cells, which would kill of mutated creatures, but leave normal people essentially intact, only killing those who had mutated vital organs.
However, since the game never let me ask this question to Eden, i couldn't have known.
So what i'm saying is, if that was how the virus worked, i would support the enclave, but if it just killed indiscriminately, then no dice.

| The Enclave encourage genocide, and believe that only vault-dwellers and Enclave personnel are pure humans. Feels a bit too Nazi-like for my tastes. |

| The Enclave has been the primary antagonist now for two games, and I think their proverbial welcome has run out. As previously mentioned they're fascists in power armor; just like the Brotherhood of Steel. The groups widely differ in preservation vs advancement, but they're really just mirrors of each other. The Brotherhood has the advantage of having a few games where they're presented as way more altruistic than I feel they should have been.
I thought the way they were presented, as a limited number of remorseful soldiers, in New Vegas was a good way to have them presented in the game without having them play an overly important role. With them being thoroughly beaten twice they're even less likely to have a presence when compared to the Master's Army. My only complaint in this system was that I got the APA late in the game and couldn't admire it as much as I would like (without cheating/mods). Likewise I'm worried that the design won't appear in the inevitable Fallout 4. _________________ Nexus Mods

| I sort of like the Enclave. I think they have good intentions on restoring America but they don't have good methods of doing so. I like the Enclave remnants in new vegas because they admit that what they did was wrong and they work to do the right thing. So I'm on the fence with the enclave. |

| I like Enclave, They may do the things wrong way, but for a better goal. They can really give the feel of a nazi community, but Its on a different level. There may be people who doesnt look like supermutants and things like that, but people arent "pure" human anymore and I think Enclave isnt that wrong, cuz I wouldnt wanna my genes get messed and in Fallout's world that means that mutated people mustnt reproduce.
If Enclave and BoS could take their problems away and together join up with House, then I think that would be the best for the wastelands of Fallout. |
