| Hey guys! Do any of you read comics? If yes then which should I start? Crisis On Infinite Earths? Secret Invasion? or the original Secret Wars? _________________ What doesn't kill you, gives you XP. - My Achievements:

| As a guy who goes to the comic book store every Wednesday to get his books, I'm here to help.
I think it all depends if you want to get into TPBs (which are the more book-like formats. The kinds that are offered at book stores. They just collect a few comics and call it Vol. 5, for example. If you still don't understand, I suggest looking up on google "Trade paperbacks.") I really recommend this if you just want to read comic books casually. They can be fun. If that's the case, I'd start with "Civil War," from Marvel. That was one of my first exposures to an event and I loved it! I'd give some more suggestions but I don't really know what characters you're into... You can also do what I do and read singles, or actual 'comic books.' You picked a really good time to think about getting into 'em, because if you can hold out for a few months, DC and Marvel are rebooting there entire lines again. Marvel is rebooting Secret Wars in May, which will end Marvel NOW! (I think). And DC will launch 24 new comic books in early June.
What I would do is just read the trades until the summer. Go to a bookstore and just pick out a few that look appealing. Like I said, if you want to let me know what characters you like - I'll recommend a few stories. |

| Yeah i read comics for sure. But there arent much comic book stores in my country.I think they are maximum of two comic stores as far as i know, but im such a fan of comics!First i would like to start with the comics of Marvel Zombie. This has to be by far one of my most favorite marvel comics even if i lets say get them from the internet i read comics very often and everyday.Marvel Zombies is just a unique kind of a comic,it focuses on the Earth-Z or was it Earth 2112?I dont know really but i like the series a lot.Second i would like to say something about Batman:Death of a family. Those series were also dear to me.Even if only readed the final volume which is 3 i think and i got it with the Joker mask whichi s aweosme i think that Scotty Snyder did a great work on the comics.I mean Joker cutting his face was beyond his insanity sutff but i admit i really fought he did some of those stuff in the end of the comic but i dont want to spoil your guys reading but i hightly recommend it,but as it right now im in to Civil War issue 1 somewhere in the middle i am i think but yeah you guys are lucky to have comic stores in your towns. |

| I've read through alot of horror movie comic books such as the Evil Dead and i'm also starting to get into "New 52" and the continued "Batman" saga. A new comic i picked up is "Y: The last man" and i have to say, this is one of the most impressive story setup's I've ever seen for a comic because it totally showcases how humans can devolve into xenophobic and hypocritical selfish beings. I strongly recommend it if your looking for a new comic to read. |

You should read Wytches. It's a horror comic, and it's written by Scott Snyder (the same guy whose writing those New 52 Batman books). It's already being adapted into a movie by Brad Pitt, and I think you might like it. |

| This new age of comics sure does love killing off characters and ruining the pre established canon |

| Yeah, I've heard it was a little disappointing so I don't think I'll be reading it. I got the chance to meet the artist and writer (Steve McNiven and Charles Soule) Saturday. They were both real nice and everyone was having them sign that. I think the only recent Marvel event I intend to read is Spider-Verse. That looks *really* good! |

| Haha the thing is comic books aren't available anymore here, I download it or wait for Comic Con here. I've completed Civil War, House of M and i'm currently reading Original Sin. But since I get major references from Secret Invasion and have read Dark Avengers Assemble TPB therefore I was interested in reading it. As for DC,I've read Blackest Night, Brightest Day, Trinity War, Forever Evil. Crisis on Infinite Earths and Final Crisis are one of DC's better arcs, that's why I thought I'd ask _________________ What doesn't kill you, gives you XP. - My Achievements:

| @sirvm I ALWAYS wanted to read the comic book adaptations to The Thing and i feel i have to stop loly gagging and get around to reading em. Yeah i agree with Final Crisis being one of the better arcs in recent memory DC has produced, or rather one that stuck with me and had me going lol. |

| If you get a chance check out, Preacher, American Vampire and Fables. I don't really like the new 52 but I really enjoy Red Hood and the Outlaws, even though they made Starfire a bit weird.
I think I'm the only person who liked Old Man Logan, but it's a cool take on 'what if the villians won?' |

| @Renegadefunk89 Oh god please don't remind me how they RUINED her character, Made me so mad how they basically made her into a indecisive slut with pseudo amnesia personality disorder. I also didn't care much for Old Man Logan to be honest, I wanted to like it so much but i couldn't bring myself to and began to dislike it more and more. |

| @sirvm.I think reading the original one is far better becasue the new one could be like a sequel or a prequel to the story. |
