Help with TTW Empty
PostSubject: Help with TTW   Help with TTW EmptyFri Apr 03, 2015 12:27 pm

Hi guys I installed TTW again to use along side my newly created mods but when I used it tons of my installed meshes have disappeared plus parts of my UI are replaced by pink squares and I cant access the pause screen.

Some of the problems I listed I had before when I had too many mods but I uninstalled a whole load of mods I had which usually fixes it but this time it did nothing.

Well the same thing happened for me but i think i might be able to help you out on this. Just follow these steps --> Un-install TTW and all of your mods. Then verify your game cache via steam and now re-install TTW and only install those mods that are compatible with TTW. Atleast thats what worked for me.

Maybe the size of the TTW Wasteland mod is the problem. I think your problem really is the mod limit only the TTW mod takes as much space as a few regular mods. Thats my theory at least. Also the TTW mod authors warn people about having a big mod list, at least while the mod is in alpha stage

Thanks for telling but I also have to ask what is the best installer for TTW and what would be the max amount of mods to have active.

The best installer for TTW is the official one from their homepage. Just follow the instal steps and do a manual installation, and everything should work fine. I recommend a manual install since IMO that's the easiest way not to fuck up.

When it comes to mod limit, i have heard many people say that its 139 active esp/esm's at the same time. You can use as many texture replacers/ meshes/ sound and music mods as you want, if they are esp'less.

From my own testing while modding New Vegas, i have found weird things to happen when my load order extends 121 active esp/esm's.

What version of FOMM are you using? TTW specifies using 0.14.11.9.

Mod limit really does seem to vary from person to person - I've had a load order in the 130s run with no issue, but I also didn't have a lot of BSAs loaded. It's weird, but that has made a difference for me. It's probably best just to keep your limit as low as possible through careful mod selection and smart mod merging.
