Hi everybody!

Help is very needed.

Did anybody encounter the problem when you try to launch Fallout new Vegas with FOMM (Launch NVSE option) or with fnv4gb, you get the above mentionned error message, but when you lanch the game with its original exe file, it starts normally (but the mods work incorrectly and some textures dont show).

I tried every suggested method proposed on the like-named threads on VGU, such as:
deleting ClientRegistry.blob and relaunching steam,
deleting all F-NV exe-s and verifying game cache,
re-installing both NVSE and NVAC,
stopping participating in Steam's beta.

Nothing worked.

I've had this happen to me a few times lately. I'm not sure what exactly causes it, but all I do is restart my computer and it ends up working for me again. It's random when it happens for me, sometimes it will throw that error when I haven't touched the mod manager at all.

The game really starts with FOMM anf NVSE option, but the some textures are displayed incorrectly. And when I torn archiveinvalidation on, the game won't start and the "application..." error appears.

Well maybe its because you dont have the non steam version of the game, I think i had that erorr too but i was like fuck with the 4GB but if the thread Waterbear posted doesnt help you well Sir, you will kiss the 4GB Fallout for goodbye.

Yeah, it involves something with FNV4GB and Steam. What I do is, I open the task manager and click on more detail (Mine it's in spanish so I'm not sure how they're called) and close everything related with steam and Fallout. After that, open steam and then open FNV4GB and that's it. It work for me, I hope this helps.

Also, have in mind what Boom said, it won't work if you have the pirate version.
