Most of us who've downloaded over 100 mods have experienced it. One day you launch your Fallout: New Vegas, per usual, only to see that the NPCs are replaced with red exclamation points and/or you're textures/meshes are becoming mismatched (i.e. a door is replaced with the texture of a fountain in the Gomorrah, etc.). However, what I'm experiencing is a little more uncommon... Everything is absolutely fine and dandy until I load a few cells. That's when the game goes batshit fucking insane and starts throwing out all these problems at me. I'd almost prefer that it does it as I launch, that way I can see if the problem persists immediately. Instead, I have to wait 5-10 minutes.
It's been happening for about a week (which is my activity on this site has dropped drastically) and I haven't found anyway to fix it. I've tried verifying the integrity of the game cache, FNVedit, and other things on top of that. Has anyone ever experienced this problem before? If so, how did you fix it? Even if you haven't, I'm still open to suggestions...

If you have over 130 mods installed. Disable some.

^^^^^ if that don't work then disable all your mods and re-install the game. Sure that will fix it ,and install the mods you actually use.

That's kind of a last resort. I am pretty sure alonewolf's suggestion will solve most of the issue. Man... reinstalling is a pain lol.

I had to do that when i was trying to uninstall the Halout mod. Was such a awesome mod but so many problems and it basically destroyed everything in the game. lol

One mod that many players have problems with is the crossbow mod. So if you were going to attempt to remove alot of the mods try that first it might just solve your problem.

Eugh, I finally fixed it. It's funny how even though these experiences can be so incredibly tedious, it's one of the most rewarding things in the world when you get your game working again. Thanks so much for the feedback and recommendations guys.

This ended up partly fixing the problem. I deleted a lot of the .esm's and .esp's I wasn't using, which proved to be somewhat effective. Another thing I did was I went into FNVEdit and deleted a conflict inside of Vurt's WFO which I didn't even know existed before LOOT told me to clean it. Strange to think it was just a few plants in Boulder City provided by "Wasteland Flora Overhaul" that might've been breaking my game...

This is why I typically only use like... 10-12 mods. Constantly seeing these kinds of topics, I mean. No amount of awesome armor/weapons/etc is worth my game imploding in on itself.

That's what I told myself before my last 3rd re-installation... well, not 10-12, maybe 50, but I ended up keep clicking and scrolling and all that kind of stuff and BAM. 129 mods installed. PC Fallout players' problem .

Haha yes, I understand that. When I played Oblivion I had around 50 mods for it, but it started crashing a lot so I stopped piling more on.

I usually merge the mods into one single .esp, mostly the armor/weapon ones, so instead of having 20 mods adding armors, I have 1 or 2. Merging quest mods or big mods i'ts not a good idea I think.
