| A while back ago I picked up The Fallout Trilogy at a great price. It is a PC DVD-ROM wtih Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics on it. I play them every now and then. Not used to turn based fighting since I am more used to Fallout 3/New Vegas. But the story and history with these games make them fun. Anyone else picked this up and plays the Originals? |

| Oh yes, I refer to the originals often for inspiration and reference. I still have the original discs for them, but you can pick 'em up on GOG.com for cheap (for folks that don't already have them). They even had a weekend event where they were giving them away free. _________________ |

| I've never played them either. I can't wait to have some time to try them out. _________________ |

| I picked them up on GOG when they were free that weekend. I'm really enjoying Fallout Tactics, the turn-based real time hybrid game play is pretty fun. Fallout 1 and 2 are really fun too. The best part about these games is the subtle humour that gets thrown in every once in a while. It's unfortunate they were pulled from the GOG catalog. |

| They were? I wonder if it might have to do with the rights for distribution reverting or changing hands after a specific date or something. It might be that they've "returned" to Bethesda/Zenimax now. _________________ |

The article can be read here:http://www.gog.com/news/removed_from_catalog_fallout_1_2_tactics. The fact that Bethesda owns rights to these games now seems to be the case. They still sell the games on DVD as far as I know but on the other hand they seem to be pulled from steam as well; the store pages for the trilogy are still there but there is no option to purchase any of them. I hope they are put back up in the future. |

| Yeah, they might have their own plans for future distribution of those games or just want to feel powerful. _________________ |

| Hmmm sad that happens. Hopefully they will make them available again.
As roflcopter117 said The Fallout Tactics game is really fun. I enjoy it.
And yeah the humor is great. I have that same sense of humor with movie references and such. To me they are like mini Easter Eggs, when I get a joke. I'm like Ha! I get that reference! XD _________________ |

| I remember playing those awhile back, truly great games. If only they made another spin off with them, that would be great. |

| I got my triology from "gog.com" and the difficulty of "Fallout 1" and my bad luck really get me every time I play it (example: Vault dweller finally comes out of the cave and starts to explore the wasteland. First enemy I find is a Radscorpion and my only weapon is a pistol... ) _________________ |

| I've been playing Fallout since it was released. Some people are Star Wars nerds, some are Star Trek nerds. I'm a Fallout nerd. I'm even making a mod that brings Fallout 3 - and to a lesser extent, NV - more in line with the story of the older titles through Tale of Two Wastelands. |

| I played the original fallout a little bit after FO3 came out, but my short attention-span didn't let me make it past the initial cave rats. Picked it and Fallout 2 up during the GOG free event, and beat it. I never realized how many references there were to the original games in NV. _________________ - Can you figure it out?:

| From everything I've heard, bethesda is working on getting the originals back up on steam. Don't have source for that though. |

I hope so. Lost my GOG downloads of the original games when I had to factory-reset my CPU. |

| I've played Fallout 1 quite a bit, but I've still not actually finished the game.
I'm just really hostile towards time limits, even lenient ones like FO1 has.
