| Hey guys. So today I was reading about Fallout 4 because I was bored, and came across this article. - Spoiler:
Fallout 4 Release Date and Fans Expectation Fallout 4 is finally coming and the players who waited so long for a new version of this great franchise will have to wait a few more months until the game will be released. Fallout 3 was launched back in 2008 and Fallout 4 will finally come to the market in 2015.
A lot of people thought that Fallout 4 will be previewed at E3 2014 but that didn’t happen. Now, it is rumored that the game will finally be previewed at E3 2015. A PR officer from Bethesda Game Studios confirmed that Fallout 4 will come out at some point.
At the same time, a redditor who had connections at the PR office from Bethesda Game Studios divulged some details about the storyline of the game. The redditor affirms that the game’s action will be set in Boston and it will be mostly a direct sequel to Fallout 3 and that the game will have some returning factions.
Unlike anything we’ve ever seen in the Fallout game, Boston – the city where the action will take place in the game – will have some kind of retro-futuristic and cyberpunk feel. The game will have some strong android influences and an institute that has some extremely advanced technology.
There is a high possibility that the game will also feature a massively multiplayer online (MMORPG) mode and that Obsidian Entertainment is behind this feature. Josh Sawyer, the director at Obsidian Entertainment, said in an interview with IGN that he is interested in getting involved with Fallout 4 and if Bethesda will agree, then he might contribute with a MMO element in the upcoming game.
In the last paragraph, they mention a possible MMORPG feature which sounds crazy to me. The bad crazy, not the good kind of crazy. So what do you guys think? Legit? Not legit? Is Bethesda even working on Fallout 4?! I don't know anything anymore! (Wish I could link the source but I can't, sorry about that). |

| The only confirmed info about the next Fallout is that Three-Dog might be involved somehow, per an announcement from his voice actor.
I seriously, seriously doubt there will be anything resembling an MMO built into Fallout 4. Not only would that ruin the modding capabilities of the game, it would require a large CS team and tons of server/etc hardware to maintain post-launch.
Also, Obsidian just announced they're doing another game with some brand they've been wanting to work with, a D&D type thing. Pathfinder, I think it is.
So yeah... I don't buy that rumor/article for a second. |

| The question is, which website you found this article. I hardly trust a website that is unofficial but if its Kontaku, PCgamer, etc. then it's true. Another question is, where are all the concept arts? Most games in developement should release some concept art, screenshots like Half Life 2 Episodes. Even if you believe that F4 is going to be on 2015, does not mean it's actually true. However, I don't have opinions right now but I believe that this article might be a fake. |

| I found it in a site called the fuse joplin. I don't buy it either, there's no reason to add online features to a game like fallout. Sure, the series could have a MMO like ESO did, but not in the next main game. |

| I highly doubt they'd make Fallout 4 multiplayer in any shape or form. It'd upset their target demographic that already likes Fallout 3/New Vegas and TES. Now, I can see a Fallout MMO being made at some point, but it'd be totally seperate from FO4. As for the setting, that'd be cool, they always talked about Boston in Fallout lore, so to go there and see The Institute and the Commonwealth would be amazing. I hope we get to see the actions of the player in 3 reflected in some way, like, they could mention that someone set off a nuke near D.C. or that there's now clean water near D.C., or something like that. |

| Unless it's co-op, multiplayer needs to stay out of Bethesda games, IMO. ESO is the perfect example of why.
Josh Sawyer was just speaking about the possibilities that might come with an online Fallout, and I highly doubt he would have said anything if Obsidian was involved with FO4. Just wouldn't make sense. _________________ |

| If there ever was a co-op in a Fallout game, it should be somekind of system where it allows for mods. perhaps a system where if both players are using the exact same mods it'll work. |

| Rumors are just that....Rumors. Most of the time started by people who want something to happen so it becomes a kind of self-fulfilling prophesy. The quickest way to kill the Fallout fan base would be to limit the way the game can be modded. It stifles creativity and a feeling of ownership in the game when you can't mod it. The game becomes repetitious, boring, and you drift away. The only rumor that I even half believe is that sometime in the future, Bethesda MAY release Fallout 4....Maybe. Just my Opinion!!!! Cheers!!! V/R MistTiger |

| Mods are a must have in Fallout 4 and Bethesda knows that. Since they are taking their sweet time with Fallout 4 I expect something breathtaking from them. |

| Echoing others, I don't put much stock into rumors, especially when they are mostly just parroting the potential safe bets the fanbase has already made such as Boston.
However, the idea of co-op/multiplayer does make me uneasy, as these days it does seem to be something that gets shoved into many games as standard - we have all heard how supposedly some sections of EA won't even consider making a game without online elements. One could wonder if TESO was Zenimax testing the waters. Because Bethesda, and Todd Howard, can resist as much as they like, if the people who control the cash tell them they are making a multiplayer games, they are making one.
Nor would I mind, if I didn't know the 'cost' would be too high. The idea of trampling the wasteland with close friends, and you good folks, in co-op sounds very appealing. However, it has already been proven that things like modding and complex quests with several completion methods and choices tend to be the first thing that get eaten up to make implementation simpler. There would almost certainly be no G.E.C.K. and even more linear endings.
I truly hope that TESO didn't do well enough to quite turn peoples heads towards Fallout. I hope the Fallout MMO court debacle will not make people wonder about such things in Fallout. I hope modern standards for games and the slow death of completely offline single player games will not have a detrimental effect on Fallout. I have no particular reason to give these rumors any credence, especially not after the Survivor situation, that I actually started to buy into.
But... I find myself feeling uneasy over the future of my beloved Fallout. I might just be projecting, but even for a Bethesda title they have been conspicuously quiet on FO4, and it has been even longer than usual since the end of their last project (Skyrim). Generally by now the next title to be released has at least had a teaser trailer or at the very least an announcement.
There is even the chance they might not even be making FO4 as their next project, even if it is technically 'in progress'. That could simply mean some papers are on a desk somewhere. Three-Dog's voice actor could have either been playing around, using misdirection, doing another project, or even was asked to say what he did purely to keep people hungry for Fallout news and the franchise in gamers minds.
I truly dislike waiting for even news. A teaser, even if there is years of development left, would at least put concerns to rest. Some of them at least. |

ESO is on life support, from what I gather. Hundreds of thousands of people have stopped playing it. |

| There are no rumors about fallout 4 worth paying attention to, And you would be wise to ignore all of them. _________________ "You may be an accident, But you're an accident that will have percussions throughout all of time"
