I can sit for hours in the casino and play blackjack, and come up with pockets full caps, and I can and with nothing.
Where do you find caps? Looting? Maybe steal?

Generally, just selling stuff with a high value to weight ratio. Stuff like deathclaw hands and cigarettes. If I'm already over-encumbered, I'll just pick up everything I see. Only problem with that is the walking distance and the fact that vendors only carry so many caps on them.

And I always try to be kind. It is not always beneficial to be a bandit. You can in fact get hold on the Raiders.

Cigarette cartons are the cornerstone of my economy, along with pre-war money and vodka.

Sell random stuff, mostly. Also, quests and that butcher guy in Tenpenny Tower that gives money for human meat (of course, I gather meat only from raiders, slavers and other scum, which called human beings only conditionally ).

I've recently been playing an ultra role play runthrough of new vegas and am restricting my resources as much as possible, so I have been learning the game mechanics of the crad game caravan. Its actually kind of fun and you can make some caps off of it. Id say if you havent checked it out to do so...for me it was an overlooked feature, but it was cool to be able to do one more thing when you speak to npcs

I tried like bank heist spree. And truthfully just doing regular quests was a way more efficient way of making money, so yeah I am waiting for all the heist mods that are on the way.

I usually just cash-in all of my randomly picked up energy based weapons and ammo at a merchant. Surprising how many of energy weapons are out in the wasteland, they're little money makers!

I used to sell random junk I didn't need, but i'm lazy now, so you know, console commands .

I max my barter skill and sell the weapons off people I kill. Cowboy Repeaters and Trail Carbines sell for a pretty decent price. Also with a luck of 8 you can get kicked out of every casino fairly quickly and walk away with a ton of caps, which is always fun.

Normally through conquest, I go non-aggro on a neutral faction or two so that I can still have some one to sell to. Wipe everyone else out and acquire their assets.

Through the console, because I'm a cheating bastard and I'm allowed to cheat because I've completed both NV and FO3 without cheats before.

But before that I used to just get them by selling the numerous items I picked up but didn't need for example; excess weapons I couldn't use with any effectiveness, armour I had stopped using or was worse than the stuff I currently had, the sheer amount of assorted shite you pick up around the wasteland(s) and ammo for the weapons I didn't have or couldn't use. Basically by being a scavenger.

I'm also fairly certain in FO3 I got caps by finding map locations for Reilly's Rangers and turning in Super Mutant blood samples for the brotherhood, but it's been a while since I've done that and I may be misremembering stuff.

Pick up anything and everything that has a weight of 0 and then sell it. Also head to the casinos, quick save, max bet on BlackJack, keep doing that till I lose money, reload quick save, rinse and repeat. The second bit is probably cheating though.

easy find someone enslave them tourture them and sell them simple as that

learn to play caravan, other that that get ur luck to 8 and hit the casino's, but caravan u can play with heaps of people

Scavenging for the first few levels. After that it's just looting the legion assassin squad. Their weapons sell for a considerable amount especially after repairs. I'm one of those that can't sit through a minute of caravan. Same for the casinos.
